In Crusader Kings 3 characters grow old, age and eventually pass away through a mechanic known as health. What if we decided to play as the healthiest character possible and choose all health modifier bonuses in game? In this CK3 challenge video we will be playing as the easter egg character Ewan Cowhig Croft who starts with 14 health, nearly double that of a normal character, and seeing if immortality is possible to obtain in Crusader Kings 3. This gameplay was recorded with the Crusader Kings III: Fate of Iberia DLC but will also work with Crusader Kings III: Friends & Foes DLC and all upcoming patches until health is reworked (I’ll edit this description)

    My character lived up to 127 , all of his wives dead including his eldest daughter-wife. The primary heir died from wound from battle and other three next to him died to old age. He himself probably probably lived much longer if it weren't for the infirm trait he got at his 126 age.

    I managed 113 years with my latest, mid-run ruler. He did not have the Temperate trait, but he had two books that gave medium boosts to health, the Octegenarians Dynastic Legacy, Strong of Body (and spent the last 15 years of his life in the medicine focus). The one thing he did not get, late in his life that would have probably given him another 10-15 years was a pet cat. He had a pet dog, but at its absolute best, that gives a moderate boost to health. A pet cat will usually give a "massive" boost. Best if you can have both. He never grew infirm, incapable, feeble, or anything else. He was wide awake for all 95 years of his reign.

Amusingly He got a message telling him that his plot to murder Granny was no longer in effect because she had popped her clogs on her own. As I'm typing this, in the real world Queen Elizabeth II has passed on age 96! All hail kinge Charles the 3rd. Given he is in his 70's his reign is likely to be short.

    This inspired me to do my own challenge. I started as a single county vassal in India with the Rajasthani culture and Vaishnavite faith. I made a custom character with herculean, strong, and fecund, but to get down to 400 points, he started at 0 years old. Sanjay Pritampal lived to 120, had 30 children and outlived half of them, left behind 114 living house members, and finished 5 lifestyle trees. He spent his youth developing his economy, watched his liege's kingdom collapse around him, then began conquering and took his first kingdom at 83. He ended with 6 kingdoms and 81 counties to form a custom empire at the end of his life. Rajasthani has the mythical ancestors tradition, which gives renown from granting titles to house members, so I was able to find out that the graceful aging bonuses from the kin legacy don't apply retroactively. He died with a -26 prowess penalty. Had I known that, I would have gone for blood instead. The congenital traits wouldn't have mattered, but I could have gotten him 5 extra years.

    could you change the health value of an existing charcter and then play unntill 150+ if you just set the health stat to say 100? has anyone tested this?

    you could be immortal technically - it's how CK2 immortality worked. you weren't TRULY immortal, you just had ridiculously high health

  • @andyhx2

    @andyhx2

    @@bastobasto4866 In CK2 it wasn't just health. This trait prevented you from losing base health as you age. If you made your health go over +10 in character designer (which is what immortal gives you) you'd still age, you'd live ridiculously long but still age and die eventuallly.

    it was so refreshing to watch you go through whatever the game threw at you and succeed that i tried a very obscure start as a Latgalian, vassal count to the duke of Curonia. I set off with one holy site in hand to conquer another vidilist holy site in braslau in the name of my lord, my liege, and myself. After a decisive victory over the Lithuanian duke, i set my sites on the holy site of Chelmno. While embarked on my holy journey to unite the Baltics under the True Vidilist Faith my liege proceeded to lay with my wife. needless to say i could not trust her any longer and imprisoned, tortured and executed her. Given the questionable lineage of my two sons who she bore me, i had them imprisoned as well and disinherited both of them taking care not to execute them lest i recieve the kinslayer trait. when these things were completed and my liege understood that not only did i kill his lover but also ended any bright future his or my children might ever have. After lamenting for the loss of my family and the trust i had in anyone, i proceeded to engage my liege in a war for independence! No way was i going to remain loyal to a Leader who would take such action against my house and my honor. After quickly winning my war for independence, i patiently waited until the truce was over from my war for independece. This is when my journey for independence from my liege became my journey for conquest of my rival. I became the duke of Curonia that winter. It was a fitting end to the reign of my former liege. To be cast out into the cold, alone with his entire family dead, a distant memory, lingering in his wounds from the recent loss.... I did not succeed in uniting the Baltic Empire or even creating a reformed faith. But I did remarry and have another child. I left my new son with a legacy he may be able to do something with... keep up the great videos!!!!!!
