Living Colour "Sailin On" (Bad Brains) on Project Placebo
Музыка
Living Colour is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in 1983 by guitarist Vernon Reid. Originally billed as "Vernon Reid's Living Colour" their music is a creative fusion influenced by elements of heavy metal, funk, guitar-based rock, free jazz, hardcore punk and hip hop. They are best remembered for their late 80's hit "Cult of Personality" from their debut "Vivid", here we have the foursome performing an early 90's CBGB's homecoming show with a Bad Brains cover of "Sailin On". Enjoy, Placebo.

@@powertothepeople3820 lol how is that punk though they´re all styled like our generation the 90´s and punk is multiracial
The 80’s early 90’s were the greatest years of music ever.

Few can do Bad Brains justice but not surprised these guys nailed it like this.

The perfect band to cover The perfect band Og legends The fucking bad 🧠 brains
one of the best live shows I've seen, how could anyone not like this?
Saw these guys two years ago in the Tunnels Bristol UK. Fucking awsome!!! Now the years have gone on it was a quieter function and they ended up just mingling with the crowd after their set. These guys rock!

And Muzz with the fingers !!!
At CBGB's no less !! Fitting.
Nice cover!
God, I remember this on Headbangers Ball. Great cover.
I wonder if there's a Quickness demo floating around the internet. Mackie Jayson (ex Cro-Mags) on drums and Taj Singleton as a lead vocal.
That f*ckin' jams!
UNITY! PMA!
Calhoun winking!😅
Back when a HC crowd utilized the entire floor. Now you've got 6 or 7 guys swinging their arms and kicking with a nice safe bubble around them.
A cover that's sailin' on!
Damn that was rad af
I had no idea that they covered this song!
Impresionante
Hard to see but there are members of Anthrax in the audience.
Fuck yeah
HELL YEAH
the clean cut punks are hilarious.
cool cover
very very good
i was expecting shite,how wrong i was,great version.
> than no doubt sailin on cover
DAMMMMM forgot about this song........ BAD ME......... JUST saw it on Head Bangers Ball April 20 1991 - 16:25 in
😍
this is the oompah pah version. yes, living color nail it but they don't have that 'thing' that made the brains so special.
@Hertsman50 I don't know why people are bashing on one type or another of music I listen to rap, emo, hardcore, and basically all generes of music so it makes no sense why people are hating, just listen to the damn music and have a good time
No one points out that Dave Sabo and Scott Ian were front stage
0:38 may be sweating his balls off but still the coldest mf ever
what happened to bands like these..
I can see Charlie Benante and Scott Ian
zer!!!

Knew they would give it the energy it deserved, everyone who covers this song sounds tired. They sound properly punk-rock-fuckin angry
in the end theres more things that unfiy us, theres no white punk or afro punk. Its just punk!!
The snare hitting kinda ruins this but drummer is really cute though.
Too fast
not even dude
Yup, a great tribute but not the real thing.

Agreed, The drummer gets off at some points which kind of bothers me, and then changes from the snare being on 2 and 4 to being on 1 and 3 which really bothers me, then again it is a live show, and the energy was still prolly there
im not a fan of this band, or this cover. this guy has NOTHING on H.R kita114! and another shred passage in the place of Dr. Know's fantastic solo. sorry fans but i do not like this one bit.

👍 who cares from ten years from now
a bit of a disappointing cover.. too bad their drummer wasn't up to the task... if your drummer ain't hc, you ain't gonna play hc × it's not all up to speed
