A woman after my own heart. Spent close to 2.5 years all over SE Asia, wonderful experience. Friendly, modern, PEACEFUL so much to offer. The world is huge and life is too short to spend it in one place. There are so many other places better for our mental health and our wallets than the US. Contemplating going on a new adventure soon. Welcome to Thailand and good luck. You will enjoy BKK. Just take it slowly. No need to rush like back home in America....this is a dynamic city, fun, safe, beautiful skyline, etc. There are so many rooftop bars to enjoy the scene. Start at Above 11 at Fraser Suites on Soi 11. As a matter of fact, you should start on Soi 11 and explore. You will find out that area is full of fun expats and tourists. Ignore all the haters, because they will be jealous of your lifestyle. Just remember, this is Thailand, so respect the locals.
