Gazini made my heart flutter then. So it was really sad when the stars didnt line up for her that time. Mj is so pretty.

MJ was so kawawa from the bashings after failing to make it to Top 5. If only people knew that Boba Gazini wouldn’t even make it to Top 20 if not for MUO’s help via the wildcards and then proved to the entire universe she really didn’t deserve to make Top 20 by screwing up a very simple three-sentence speech that she had 8 months to prepare for. Now everyone realizes MJ’s placement was such a big accomplishment compared to Boba Gazini’s worst-of-any-Philippine-delegate-in-the-last-decade performance!

@@laospaosregine8314 oo may months preparation sya kaso yung pressure kasi kasya sya na ganun pero maganda naman yung speech if iintindihin mo talaga.
MJ really regret her EG sa Miss Universe. You can really feel it sa pagshashare nya. She can’t blame the org and Madam S pero makikita mo talaga hindi sya masaya sa ngin gown nya and may regret na hindi sya nbigyan ng chance to choose her own gown. And knowing she could’ve advanced sana sa Top 5. She endured the bashings she received on her year kasi consistent runner up ang Pilipinas tapos sya naging Top 10 lang. Imagine her pain and ilang weeks na pag iyak at pag iwas sa social media just to keep away from filipino fans bashing sa gown nya na in the first place sya mismo hindi nya din gusto isuot sana. Kaso un nga wala syang choice.
Got DAMN!!! There’s a reason our queens go so far... it’s not just about the pageant, the walk, the look, and marketability, although that’s the obvious reason at first glance - but these are simply amazing women and they deserve all the success they’ve achieved and blessings they continue to receive. Mabuhay ang Pilipina ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@lilpenny1982 maiksi raw po kasi ang gown ni pia nung preliminary competition. May napanood akong video na kinuwento ni Pia na nung nasa lobby sila ng hotel, naghihilahan sila ni Madam sa gown. Si Pia, hinihigit pataas kasi sobrang bumababa sa may boobs habang si Madam hinihigit naman daw sa baba. Panoorin mo po sa youtube channel ng Missosology or ni Adam Genato. Dun ko yun napanood. Thanks po.

Ariella's placement in 2013 was very close to being unplaced because she placed via fan votes at top 16. But the "stars aligned" for her that night and she climbed her way up to the top 3 with impressive swimsuit and evening gown performances. Goes to show how luck and timing plays a big factor in pageants.

Naku kawawa pla si Gazini nung Training Days. Sa loob ng PARLOR??para dw kumapaL.ung mukha nya eh hindi na naman xa mahiyain nakita sa performance nia sa BB PinaS! Ginawa lang pampa-hatak ng custmers !!

Interesting yung lineup na 'to: Ara Arida: Lumaban sa Miss Universe sa kalagitnaan ng Yolanda. Underrated given na yung year na pumasok siya sa Top 5 was the same year na nanalo si Megan sa Miss World (first time ever ng Pilipinas) and Bea Santiago sa Miss International. Umabot rin ang Pilipinas ng finals sa Miss Earth nung year niya kaya 2013 pa rin golden year ng Pilipinas sa Big Four pageants. MJ Lastimosa: Sacrificial lamb. Dahil sa controversy ng wardrobe niya na nakatalo sa kanya pagdating sa Top 10, napush ang Pilipinas to switch to Filipino designers the following year. Sobrang fitting kasi si Pia Wurtzbach na successor niya sa Binibining Pilipinas (and pareho silang ilang beses sumali diyan) ang nagkumbinse kay Madam Stella na switch from Barraza to Filipino designer gowns and nakapagpanalo sa Miss Universe after 42 years. Gazini Ganados: Face talaga yung best asset niya. Grabe yung pressure sa kanya knowing na di siya ang favorite to win Binibining Pilipinas nung year niya tapos ang susundan pa niya is si Catriona Gray sa Miss Universe. Tapos, bilang make or break ang stint niya sa placement streak ng Pilipinas sa Miss Universe na eventually nagsweep sa semis nung 2010s decade and ongoing pa rin hanggang ngayon.

I am just happy that Filipino designers get to dress our reps now. Stella really was not able to capitalize on the strengths of the girls. I do believe many of the girls from 2010 to 2014 could have placed higher or won if they had a better gown/ look. I still believe Janine could have stood a chance has she been given a better look in the finals and not the binalot na suman look she had.
