Riveting performance Gert!!!! You have blessed us with I believe 32 concerts over these past several months and I think that is way more than any of us have gone to in a year without COVID. Never have I seen/heard an organist give so much of themselves in every performance. When you lose yourself in the music, that wonderful smile appears and over one thousand people take off with you beyond the clouds and then you gently bring us back down to earth with soft pieces. Enjoyed that amazing pedal work when you played March d’ Athalie. How appropriate is the song, “It is Well” today to inspire all of us to have great faith and perseverance because God is telling us all to hang on through this difficult time. He will pull us through this. Your concerts help tremendously, a piece of happiness we look forward to. Thank you, Gert, Marjolein, Samuel, and everyone who supports you in this ministry of music for an enjoyable evening. God Bless, see you next week.

Glad to hear "Onward Christian soldiers" once again. This was a mainstay of the worship services at the church of my boyhood, but infrequently heard in churches recently because of changing sensitivities about the "soldiers" metaphor. I will not elaborate on my feelings regarding the hyper-sensitivity age. Again, thank you, Gert, for a spectacular concert in such a wonderful setting.

Goedemiddag Gert. Heel erg bedankt vooi je mode optredens. Ik hou vooral van j.s. Bach en g. f. Händel. Het stuk van de grote Nederlandse componist f. Asma was ook erg mooi. Ik ben een japanese verpleegster. Afgelopen week waren er veel dingen op het werk. Ik ben afgelopen donderdag gaan werken en vandaag ben ik thuisgekomen. Toen ik luisterde naar de muziek van Mendelssohn die je speelde, herinnerde ik me de gebeurtenissen van vorige week. Er zijn net zoveel stadia als er mensen zijn. Dus ik hoop dat alle mensen zullen herstellen van hun moeilijkheden en gelukkige protagonisten worden. “ De Herdertjes Lagen Bij Nachten ” is een heel mooi stuk. Ik voel dat het laatste stuk een barokke sfeer heeft. Het is zo mooi dat het me de adem beneemt !

En dan durft ie het ook nog te spelen live... Vind ik knap. Zou ik niet direct durven, eerst oefenen en oefenen tot ik zeker weet dat ik het goed kan en dan gaat het nog wel eens fout 🙈

J.S.Bach BWV - 593, Concerto 2💗💕 undoubtedly this is The Old Testament. There's an ancient tree at the end of the Earth, under its heavy branches fabulous men dance. Above is the crown, half the sky, and the vision is striking there: there winds of hope blow, there birds of the Lord sing, and dramatic biblical tales take place, even the birth of the biblical nations, I imagine🌳🌍

José, you would be interested in Gert's sheet music. He has several ones he did last year for Christmas, go to his website and take a look. You might be able to play it in your parish.

Magnificent

Ik vroeg mij al af, wanneer gaat Ger eindelijk eens dat door Bach gekaapte stuk van Vivaldi spelen, BWV 593 after Vivaldi RV 522. En daar is hij dan, nog niet helemaal af, moeten hier en daar nog wat puntjes op de "i" gezet worden maar dat gaat vast goed komen:-) Vingerloze handschoenen €5,42, bij "Toolstation" bij jou in het dorp op de industrieweg 2, werkt perfect ook in de auto!

On the JS Bach . Just wondering if the Adagio belongs to the concerto? My copy doesn’t have it, but it’s an amazing and beautiful beginning in any case.
