I'm actually excited for him for the Villa job and I follow Villa these days apart from Liverpool. One thing for sure he will get a very good reception form the crowd at Anfield this Saturday.

Imagine to have been there when the King stepped on to the training ground and still was the best player. YNWA King Kenny.

Thing is Klopp and the team doesnt have any sentimentality, they are merciless, so I fully expect them to go out and batter Aston Villa, Gerrard or not, we need to be ruthless, we need the 3 points, and we need to win everything for the next 10 games until Man City in January.

There's not one player in Aston Villa's squad who could play for Liverpool ? Quite a statement considering the result a little over 12 months ago.

That was just a freak score that happens once every decade or so… also it was when Liverpool hit a massive low and lost loads of games due to massive squad injury’s and low morale…. It ain’t happening again.

It will be a tough game for us (Liverpool). Villa have a fantastic attack and Ollie Watkins always seems to score against us. They won't be easy to score against either. I still fancy us to win 2-1 however given how well Salah and Mane and Jota are playing.

You would imagine it could be tricky, but I actually think the scoreline will be more like 3-0, 4-0, but that's my prediction. I think maybe a wake up call to Gerrard's great start because Liverpool are just too good right now, and there's no shame losing by that sort of scoreline as you would expect if you look on paper.

Which a lot of people seem to have taken very personally, for some reason. I remember shutting off the game and being depressed about it. I was irritated with Liverpool, more so than Villa. They were just doing their job... Maybe just a bit too well 😋

Firstly I love Stevie as a Liverpool legend. Anfield should show him love, then we should spank Villa!

The premier league has never been decided just because of one game. All the very top team at the very best in the premier league have been stunned by lesser team and been defeated even tho they were at their very best and confidence was very high.

Liverpool is too strong for Villa at this point. It took Klopp several years to build this version of Liverpool. However good a manager Steven is, he cant't change the fact he was handed a team in bad shape and it takes time to change things

It's basically the same players that lost 7-2 to Villa last season yes Liverpool do have a better team but clearly Villa are capable of beating them They weren't in bad shape either it was just poor form and injuries none of the the new signings had played more than half an hour together Smith was unlucky to get sacked but I can see why the owners went for Gerrard.

Gerrard coming back to Anfield is a good thing, but it's Anfield and all sentiments end once the whistle blows and kick-off happens it's business and WE need the three points. #YNWA

Stevie g knows Liverpool in side and out so it will be a very interesting game hopefully we'll just be too good for them though and win

Again, i also watched Gerrard play... we clapped and wowed his performance even though we were opponents... but sticking to what i said a good day for the current trio will tear Gerrards Villa apart... that has nothing to do with he being the club's Legend... Emi Martinez is out of this world good at the moment. On a rainy night at Anfield and the guy only allows a single Penalty to get past him, and even then he dived the correct way. He was just as important for Argentina winning the Copa America this year. Amazing goalkeeper.
