Instead real trophies that have to be won on the field is how great footballers are remembered. Mo Salah has already scored and won enough to go down in LFC's history as a true legend.

Some decisions are baffling. Two years ago van Dijk was the best in the world. Lewandowski deserved it this year. Salah has to win next year. Aguero should have won the POTY in the premier league at least once.

@@Harveygregorxotwod Largely true. Chiellini and Bonucci won Italy the Euros. And Kante was unreal in the latter stages for Chelsea - he should've won that UEFA award. Salah is a tricky one, as the Ballon D'or is more about last season, and so right now with Messi on gardening leave in Paris, and Salah in the form of his life, it looks ridiculous - but Messi did win the Copa America as the player of the tournament, and Liverpool were largely awful last season.

Nobody know yet who will win the league or UCL, but Liverpool really bring their fans pure joy; do they now have the top 3 goalscorers in the league? 12g in the last 3 games, with 1g conceded. Salah scoring 19 this season in EPL and UCL, only a third of the way through the season. He’s truly brilliant, and he clearly loves the club. Jota's goal was exceptional. Overall quality of passing, elite. Everton humiliated; some leaving after 20’m. Half the stadium vacated by 85’m. Wow😂🔥 Also… often Rory comes across like more of a Liverpool fan than Lawrence. Seems more emotionally invested in the great moments and has more faith in the team & Klopp, same with Alisson’s 95th min header last season👌🏻

It'll be interesting to see how the Champions League affects them. Liverpool, Chelsea, and City all have enormous chances at winning the Champions League as well. Along with Bayern, these clubs are probably the 4 top favorites for the UCL.

More interestingly how Liverpool will fare in the League during AFCON meaning that they will most likely be without Mané, Salah and Naby Lad. As a fan I can’t help feeling a bit worried about jan-feb period but if the reds can maintain squad fitness and grind out results to stay within range of City and Chelsea until the return of the AFCON-players, then the league title will most likely remain a three horse race until the last month or so.

Liverpool and city are currently the two best teams in the world, chelsea play boring defensive football with 11 men behind the ball all game although they are exceptional at it, it’s in no way as exciting or as world class as liverpool and city are at the moment.

@@michaelrowell7798 Liverpool have already rotated numerous times this season. Liverpool’s lack of depth is such an overrated myth 😂 Their lack of depth, carried them last season to third place, above Chelsea, no losses from March - the November West Ham game.

The assists from Robertson were exquisite. So good performance all over the pitch throughout the squad.

Liverpool finishing is outstanding, salah is just truly amazing.

Liverpool are finishing 30% of thier chances,they create more than anyone .we can definitely improve our finishing for sure.This team when it comes attacking skills and creating chances is one of the best I have ever seen.barca team(2008-2012),pep's man city team and then comes this liverpool team .I am so lucky to be alive to see this Klopp team play ,they are just something else ,they are literally scoring more than 3 goals in a game.This is unreal what we are witnessing.

There isn't a better team in world football than Liverpool right now. Scoring the best goals too.

@@ionisation9578 It's gonna be really tight between you and us plus City. We have the best managers in the Prem, but Klopp and Pep have a real head start over Tuchel that might give us or City the edge if it goes to the wire. You've got a fine manager that hasn't got close yet to showing his top football week in week out. If the title was given to the most entertaining team we would have won already. I've watched Liverpool for over 40yrs and I haven't seen such consistent quality from a team since the very early eighties or the 90's Utd or the unbeatable Arsenal of the Wenger years. Great title race for sure this year.

Liverpool and Chelsea (apart maybe from the last 2 games) seem to be working at 100% which they won’t maintain in my opinion, meanwhile City look like they are only in third or fourth gear, winning games without Grealish, Foden or De Bruyne. But lets see, it looks like one hell of a title race

Rory spot on about Everton. You can always rely on rory to get his facts right about other clubs ! Really enjoyable to watch ! And this is from an Everton fan. Tough times for us, years of mismanagement and Rafa is just taking the brunt of all past failures ! The club is a mess from top to bottom sadly !

Stretching it with the gran kids but stiil. It was like they are trying to play perfect football. The energy from the team is truly amazing. Win loose or draw the game is sick.

We've taken out both our rivals at their grounds, fixtures that typically end in draws regardless of form. If they continue to get goals and manage games, it can be a special season.

Rafa is a Liverpool legend. Won us the Champions League, and now setting Everton on the path to relegation!

You've forgotten (or ignored) the 80s, when Kendall's EFC were without doubt, capable of being potential European Kings, but Dalglish and Rush absolutely shredded them at Goodison one season. There was also a clash at Anfield, during 84/85 where Graeme Sharp hit one of the most sensational goals in Merseyside Derby history. Also an era where there was far less nastiness or bile between the fans than of more recently.

As a Liverpool fan I’ve not heard a single worry about the African cup coming up in terms of a title challenge, we lose 3 first team players and 2 of them are superstars and Chelsea lose Mendy as well. It’s gotta be city’s with their depth to win it this year but I’d love it to be this close right to the finish.

This Liverpool team is one of the fittest teams I have ever witnessed. But Mo Salah is just a freak on how fast he is from the first minute of the game until he comes of the field.

Salah’s first goal is a masterpiece. Many strikers did wonders scoring from a distance, but Salah’s first goal is a rarity.

The Man City vs Aston Villa game was 1 of the most well played games I've seen in a while! Such creative & quality play from both teams. All 3 goals were amazing. Bernardo Silva's volley on the run, might be the goal of the season?! Huge result for City at Villa Park. Liverpool continue to impress! Klopp's got his team back playing how they were in 2019-20. Chelsea are looking vulnerable of late. Watford out shot them significantly, and equalled possession with Chelsea. Chelsea were very fortunate to get 3 points. To me the title race will be decided between Man City & Liverpool!

I'm not an Everton fan but what I will say is whatever plan their owners had for this club has failed miserably it's been manager after manager player after player yet they're still nothing more than an average mid table team when if the money was spent correctly and a proper manager was given proper treatment they could be seen like how people see Leicester City as a upcoming well run club with smart investment and good ownership they could be a consistent top6 contender or some seasons a top4 contender but instead they're just a big mess and Rafa I got to say will be getting the sack he's been very poor so far despite bigger issues at the club

What makes it so sad it that there are going to be two exceptional teams who do not win the league this season. I know which team I am having the most fun watching in 2021 though! We are so blessed to have seen so many great teams over the years and we should not forget to savour this one too.

Shame henderson is seen as this backwards passing merchant even after they won the title he has some absolute bangers in him

Just Cause Seamus Coleman made a mistake in the Derby doesn't instantly make him a bad player, He's been Evertons most consistent player the last 10 seasons. Saying Everton only have one good defender when they have Coleman, Godfrey, Lucas Digne and Mason Holgate in the squad is also abit mad.

I truly believe this year's Prem will go to the last day ..maybe even decided on goal difference 🤔👍

This is the first time this season so far that we’ve conceded a goal and still won the match Jurgen will be happy that we did not drop our guard as we’ve done previously therefore it means we’re leaning how to win after conceding or taking leading and conceding a goal it’s a huge progress and it will give us massive confidence moving forward Clearly last season’s plans is being implemented this season we're definitely attacking the league with a few tactical tweaks in the midfield Obviously jurgen wanted to attack the league last year but injuries hampered that plans. These couple weeks I’ve be very impressed by how nonchalantly we've despatched teams, we’ve had that swagger and ruthlessness of 19/20 when we won the league, but lidget right now these performances and style is a sight to behold plus you can tell we are nowhere near our top gear Last night, Hendo’s and Salah’s goals were breathtaking and Jota’s dragging of the ball between him and Allan and smashing it into the top 90 degrees angle ack, Was Absolutely mustard as sweet and smooth as smoothie Lol Jota’s jubilation was the clipper board🎬 when a director on set clips the clipper board it means it’s a warp meaning after his goal it’s a WRAP.

Rafa has been lumbered with other peoples mistakes at Everton. Add to that the injuries to his only decent players…. He’s on a hiding to nothing. There is no short term fix at Goodison and I feel he won’t be there long enough to sort the mess out.

I keep trying to listen to you and mckolas podcast. But theres a massive difference between the volume on your audio and that on adams. Makes it basically impossible to listen because i have to keep turning it up to hear you and turning it down so adams voice doesnt burst my ear drum. Everton are a shambles and it's not Rafa's fault. The recruitment has been all over the place the past few years. They lack direction and a clear vision. Too often looking for short term fixes. The Reds are mustard though, no shame in losing 4-1 to them.

Laurences football knowledge really isn’t that great.. he singled out Michael Keane and Seamus Coleman for being big problems at Everton Michael Keane could easily be a top 6 CB and Coleman has been probably the best PL RB over the last decade and is still one of their best players and captain of both his club and country.. and this is coming from a Liverpool fan

Yeah, pretty poor. Seemed like pure top of the head ‘analysis’, but as it was delivered with some conviction and a sense that he knew what he was talking about, it maybe struck some people as legitimate. Worse was saying Everton won’t be relegated because the players would improve under a different manager. Total guesswork. And really - firing Benitez after 14 games would be a good step? Everton are crippling themselves by their endless, witless hirings and sackings, and (until recently) their love of totally wasting money. Who would replace Benitez, mid-season, with this poor squad, and automatically improve their fortunes? The whole point of getting a reliable, effective, team-building manager is to give that manager time and money to build a reliable, effective team. Or at the very least, just time - Benitez will improve those players even without money. But you have to persevere. There’s no easy way out for Everton. They have a manager who wants to be there (or did), who’s built teams and won trophies… and they’ve, at board level, given him pennies to work with, while the fans have given him precious little slack or time. When Liverpool, as reigning league champions, suffered terribly when they lost key players to injury, the vast majority of fans and certainly the board had the sense to realise that, when those players returned, the team and results would improve. At the very least, you wait until you have your full complement of players before you make the most fundamental of footballing decisions - to keep or not keep a manager. And sure, Benitez doesn’t have a fraction of the cache with Everton that Klopp did at Liverpool (after winning titles, etc), but be realistic - Everton’s short-term goals are also way more modest. Give Benitez a chance to fix what’s practically a broken club - and a club which he didn’t break. Time to think like sensible adults.
