They can't as the council would want the club to make infrastructure investment, where they will not get any equity either

It is the council’s job to improve the infrastructure not the clubs ,how much do Liverpool bring into the economy,come on council work with the club and realise you are very lucky to have one of the biggest clubs in the world on your doorstep

@@simonlewis720 You might think its the council's job, but the way the council views it, there will be strain on public transport on match days the system won't cope with 70k supporters and that's down to LFC. On match days the residents complain alot, its very unlikely they would to see another 9k fans going through the neighbourhood. As to capacity; forget about extending the Kop, you can turn the road into a tunnel and but it means buying 2 rows of houses behind the kop. The SKD stand can enlarged alot easier but again you would have to buy the two rows of houses on Skerries road and the next road along. There are tenants who will not sell (near the kop or SKD stand). The easiest and quickest way to expand is to fill the corners. You would probably get between 8-13000 seats (total guess work no clue) more people. However, unless you appease the council and the local residents, there is no way LFC will increase its capacity

The entire game has been lane since they took the terraces away I stood in the middle of kop for years and this lame exparience pales

FSG desperate to find more bricks and mortar investments (safe investments) rather than investing in players. We'll still shopping around for players that aren't the finished article and may never be good enough. I can't wait the day when Liverpool start acting like the big we undoubtedly are.
