Who would have thought England's two biggest, and most successful clubs - Manchester United and Liverpool - could be on sale, at the same time! Well, it’s happening! The club’s American owners have decided it is best to cash their chips and move on.
For Man United fans, this is the best news, ever. They have long protested against the current owners and would welcome a change. Liverpool, meanwhile, has progressed well under Fenway Sports Group, but won’t be against the change either.
For starters, the two clubs are only 30 miles apart! Lots of fans, packed trophy cabinets, both play in red and famous grounds - these are just a few descriptions that almost bind them. And…have always gone head-to-head.
