Most of those were won when It was easier to win back then, with the old fomat all you had to do was play a couple of teams from Norway or Cyprus and you were in to the Semi finals. We played Benfica, Barcelona & Bayern Munich on route to winning it the champions League. Since the structure of the Competition changed we've qualified for it more times than you have.

Chelsea won a European trophy 2 years before Liverpool, and it also took Chelsea 65 years to win first FA cup whereas it took Liverpool 73 years.

No performance test, we are the champions, champions of Europe.

@ mordenchelsea78 We earned the right to buy Dalgish and the like, by hard work and success upon success over decades, from 60's under Shankly who rescued LFC from the old 2nd Division to winning the league time after time through the 70's , 80's. No billionare Russans and Sheiks then mate. Might I add we bought Keegan for £35,000 and sold him for £500,000 and bought Dalglish with the funds. Not like some Russian who dips his hand in his pocket when funds are required. And we were never the richest club, Man U were regarded the richest even back then.

However that is where we differ, because as a Liverpool fan I have the luxury in saying that we have lifted that trophy another four times in addition to that historical night in Istanbul 2005. So unless you get me a fucking time machine so I can witness 77, 78, 81 and 84 for myself, I'm pretty much satisfied as a Liverpool supporter.
