The problem my guy is where we were to where we've crashed down too. You aren't wrong in saying we are about the 3rd or 4th best team and should rightly be where we are...but don't blame people for expecting more when we were several points clear at the top, won a cup already and odds on favourites for the title and Europa League. Thanks to FSG's lack of funding on the pitch (8th highest net spend in the league over the last 5 years as shown on transfermarkt) we're finally coming down from all the over achieving and slowly falling back to the laughing stock we once was. Is top 4 and a trophy a successful season? Sure... But capitulating like this at the very end of Klopp's Liverpool reign is a disaster for the club from top to bottom our rivals will be smelling blood going into next season

Exactly, people don’t understand how the media and journalism works nowadays, rumors would have been spreading on all front regarding klopp leaving by Feb. Better for klopp to tell us himself.

IMO our main issue is size/strength and how soft everyone in the team is and lack of leadership. Because if you look at city and arsenal they have a lot of tall and strong players with us having like 2-3(vvd,Gomez &szobo) and the lack of leadership after Hendo and Milner left has been very clear during these last 3-4 weeks, you never see anyone holding another player accountable these days like Hendo and Milner did

My biggest concern is we are 9th in net spend in the last 5 years...remarkable we've even won what we have with that pitiful expenditure...fucking Aston Villa and West Ham outspend us...we should be spending way more, and it is possible while being sustainable. Also, none of our rivals are afraid to play us anymore...I suspect we will regress into just a top 4 or 5 challenging team, but nowhere near good enough to win anything of consequence.

I've loved the entire Klopp era but by announcing his exit, Klopp chanaged the way that players feel pressure for seasonal success. I love Klopp and I dont see a future without him but this was possibly a mistake. I say possibly becaue group mentalty is a strange fluid. I wish he had a better send off. I wish man coty didnt steal titles from him also I guess they will be given backl retroavitvely but too late. Klopp has the welcoming soul that I aspire for. I think he should become a politician.

Liverpool have had a decent season being honest, 3rd a cup and especially with the new midfield, the injuries and some scandalous var decisions.

It’s disappointing, irrespective of the new manager coming and futures uncertain, the players were in a title race! They could’ve ended as title winners and possible European winners as well… I’m unsure on Slot, obviously will back him, but just want to get into next season now the next 3 games can’t come soon enough

Love Klopp wish he was staying! I would bench Mo for the rest of the season. Mo aint been performing anyway… nearly 32 peak is over. However as much as I love Klopp I think the title loss this yr is down to him and Linders. Since the United prem game we have never been setup right tactically or defensively. This last 7 games should have all been about winning each game and being solid. I really believe if we had been setup in each of the last 7 games to be solid… strong defensively and more compact we would have less chaos… more calm and our forwards would feel the pressure less and not choke and we would probaly won a lot of games 1-2 nil. Our inability to keep clean sheets and not be setup right defensively and more solid in midfield has cost us. We even have the players to say lets just sit back and be solid and hit teams on the break for the last 7 games. Just get the wins and be hard to play against. Hard times ahead… Slot has no defesive players and FSG wont spend. VVD defends when needed and is now 31 Robertson.. great going forward defensively gets caught out Gomez.. not good enough Matip.. injury prone and 31 Trent… world talent but cant defend and wont defend… still say he was best as an overlapping attacking right back… Quansah… needs help and time and should be used in bits. It hurts so bad knowing Klopp goes out like this and never got a parade for winning the league. Missed so many trophies by the finest of margins. Last CL final defeat still hurts the most. Again sloppy defensive mistkes cost us that game.

All of which wasn’t present for some time now, that was especially the case against everton. It was an “ok” performance if we remove the background that is the last several matches.

I’m an Arsenal fan, but it’s hard not to feel for Liverpool and its fans. Klopp assembled one of the greatest teams, and eras of a team, in Premier League history. Yet, all of that might count for very little because he was up against a state funded behemoth who just won’t lose. Imagine finishing a season with 92 and 97 points and not winning the league? That is not normal, and it’s a shame that people have swept that under the rug of history.

It's just very very sad...Emotions are running very high, and I think we were delusional thinking this would end perfectly. It wouldn't have been real life would it...Maybe I'm being negative...I just hope Klopp still gets a beautiful send off, off the pitch. YNWA

Mo and Jurgen have gotten into scrap like that often. This event shouldn't surprise anyone, but Mo is getting dragged and I don't agree with that. He was mad he got dropped and then he is trotted out after the team has surrendered the lead and he's asked to save to day. He showed he was human and I can accept that because 99.9% of the time Mohammed Salah is the hardest working and most dedicated player on our side. Looking at how this team has collapsed and folded over the last month...I can't even get mad at Anthony Taylor totally screwing us with that insane call. We are finishing 3rd, and frankly given how many times we had to come from behind, we are lucky to be finishing top 4. I'm still mad about it though, they had the opportunity and no one was able to step up and grab it.

At this point, Klopp, Virg, and Salah are the biggest issues right now. They're all absolutely stinking up the place, and their time is done. The egos are too big. Salah believes he should start every game, even if he isn't doing anything from the team, which is a terrible attitude, and he doesn't care about what's best for the team. Only himself. Virgil is out of his depth as captain. He isn’t a captain who can win things. He doesn't have the mentality. If things go wrong, he blames everyone around him and takes no responsibility. Personally, he's been one of the main focal points of countless capitulations. His mentality is nowhere near what it needs to be to stop those capitulations. Klopp. He's done without doubt the most selfish thing I've ever seen him do by saying he's leaving while we're 6 points clear at the top of the table. He had a contract, and he's decided to cut it short. He should have kept it in-house with the club until the end of the season. Don't get me started about his substitutions the last few games.

Liverpool fans are hurting because we were so close, yet so far in the end. This season was a massive overachievement. We need to soak up the rest of the season and hopefully now our players play without pressure. Next season will be a new experience and hopefully we can enjoy the new journey.
