I hope Ineos give Erik next season at least. Liverpool almost won the quadruple the season before last and finished 5th in the league last season, got hammered 6-2 on aggregate by Real in CL and were knocked out of both domestic cups in the 4th round. Yesterday Klopp and Pep were exchanging love letters on their PL dominance. Erik has most wins of any Utd manager in his first 100 games, better than Klopp or Arteta. Medical team and club structure have let him down.

With a ton of those wins coming against Championship or lower opposition during cup runs. Sheriff, Omonioa, Reading, Charlton, Burnley and Forest last season before promotion. His win rate in the league, where it matters, isn't good and, more importantly, his loss rate is ridiculous in the league. I don't give a shit about him beating minnows. I care about us being 6th in the league with no tactics, no recruitment, no man management, no adaptability and no hope.

@Tdoggg Our performances have been bad well before the injuries. Even last season we played badly. Eashford's amazing form covered up what would been an ithdreise terrible season. Ole, and to a lesser extent LVG, should have been backed and given longer. Jose was never righg for the club and the football was too dire to be tenable. Ten Hag is worse than all three. You cannot apend 450m, intentionally train hard and then moan about injury issues. Most clubs entire squad don't cost 450m.

@@thebiglebrowski3695 I really enjoyed last season, it was the first time in a long time have seen that sort of fight and togetherness from a united team and that was just first fucking season you mong. Unfortunately the players that were so good for us last season have been missing all of this season. We need to back Ten Hag so he can bring in more players like Martinez, Mount, Casemiro, Hojlund and co. Selfless and hardworking players with quality on the ball.

Our medical department needs sacking. How can they assure Ten Hag that both Shaw & Malacia will be back in January only for them both to pretty much miss rest of the season??? Cos of that we let Regulion leave when we should've kept him so I completely understand Ten Hag's frustration. We just gotta muddle through best as we can & not find excuses but find different ways to adapt. Bring more youth through like Amass desire his young age. He's a natural LB. I'd rather lay him than Lindelof at LB

We signed Gary O'Driscoll as head of our medical team from Arsenal last season. Our biggest mistake in my opinion. These injury set backs and wrong return dates happened in Arsenal under his watch. I don’t know who decided going to get this guy was a good idea. Useless in all merits. I’m not surprised Richard Arnold has been sacked!

Well for those asking, INEOS can be blamed a little bit. They've been talking big in the media but have said absolutely nothing in support of ETH. Hence allowing the media to run freely with all these stories about them lining up replacements for the manager. How's that different from what the Glazers have always done. Blame the manager, sack him, team rebounds in the short term, manager struggles to implement different system, performance deteriorates, blame him, sack him .... rinse repeat.

A valid point Erik raised injuries can have massive impact on a club's season liverpool being a good example last year same as this year but they've got massive cover they've also invested a lot in their youth setup thats why most of their young players break early into first team players like Jones Clark TAA Bradley Quansah. Possibly next season united should start doing this more other clubs as well imo 🤷🏾

If for 2 years you can't find a pattern of play and a way of playing rather than counter attack football I don't think anyone is ready to build a counter attacking football in this century. You are not just going to hold a season and win it or UCL by that system. Look at arsenal, they had their way from start, lost with it but it was promising, even Chelsea you can clearly see they have a way to play in a consistent basis whether they lose or win.

Liverpool's form took a dive last season not only because of the injuries but because the whole team was fatigued. They played the maximum number of games - 63 compared to other EPL teams...they were fighting for every trophies possible. The players holiday was cut short when the season started early to cater for WC in Dec. That fatigue led to injuries. VVD, Matip, Fabinho, Henderson...their legs were gone last season.

Almost all epl clubs have injury problems. Liverpool is playing a 2nd choice squad for quite sometime already. Manager have to deal with it. Manage the squad and presents the best alternatives on the field despite hit by injuries.

Anyone that’s not an idiot knows our injuries are severe. Last season Liverpool under an apparent elite manager couldn’t cope they looked terrible. This season a lot bigger compliment and they are competing. Wish the media would leave eth alone.

They assured me, they would both be fully fit for January, and that I would have 3 LBs and always be disappointing one of them, Reguilon was only ever, on Loan until Jan, but they had the option to keep him until the seasons end

He makes a fair point about the level of injuries. In recent seasons when Liverpool have suffered similar levels of injuries they performed just as badly as United have this season. So, I’m inclined against my earlier view to give him until the end of the season. The level of injuries and the United medical staff is a concern. INEOS may need to replace them.

@@MADem1688 Quite. Liverpool got hammered game after game, even at Anfield. It was only in the last 6 games or so when they got a lot of those players back that they rallied and went from about 8th in the table to scrape into 4th place on the last day of the season. That was season 2021 when they lost Virgil Van Dijk early in the season then had a horrendous run of injuries. Bottom half teams were going to Anfield and slapping them up, like Fulham and others have done to United this season.

Very similar to United this season losing at OT to Palace, Bournemouth, Brighton and yes, Fulham! And yet another similarity with Liverpool’s season 2020/21. City went to Anfield and hammered them 1-4. United got beaten by City 0-3 this season. So, Ten Hag should use not just Liverpool’s performance last season. Season 20/21 is also very helpful to his cause with INEOS. Even great managers like Klopp can only do so much if they have a bad run of injuries.

He has nothing to offer this club. Injuries is his best excuse as if we're the only team with injuiries, forgetting that before 'the so called injuries" we still lost to bottom teams, conceded 7 and 5 in a single game, broke every bad record. Half Hag hasnt improved a single player in the team, and even at over 100 games in as a manager, u still cant see his style of play or any outright tactics to disarm opponents and were only reliant on opponents making mistakes, dead balls or counter attacks. He keeps telling us how good they play at garbage performances, and u wonder what level his standards and ambitions are at, and how he expects players to carry their weight. Our players dont run enough, dont fight enough, dont defend enough and lack awarenes and anticipation of danger. Thats why we cant beat any of the teams in the top 5 positions that are aware and tactiful, but even then, we still toil with teams that are walk overs by the top 5 teams and still lose to bottom teams. Apparentely we r not in position to beat City, Liverpool and Arsenal. He could have succeded in eridivise, but premier league is totally different and he's not coping. Even if Pep and Jurgen struggled, we could still see their style of play and improvement of players that we dont see with United. Not the right guy to take us to the promised land. Am waiting for the Sunday repeat game with liverpool to see if we r hard to get knocked out. Again!

@@carrasco416 And in that Liverpool squad Klopp only had Henderson from the previous manager whom he inherited from. He has the players he want from goalkeeper to academy. They play the way he wants. This has been there at United for long. We couldn't even control games even during Ole and Mourinho times. We had to hit on counter. And when the coach and players are not in the same wavelength things don't work. Some players like rashford are always form in form out and they work on mood while Ten hag wants business... They complain about over training buh have you heard any madrid or Liverpool player complaining obout over training considering Klopp and Ancelotti training sessions are soi intense, even ex players talk about the running nonstop they did in training. Even when you look into our matches you see that some players are serious while some show clear attitude or remorse.

INJURIES, first point, maybe the workrate training is the problem, the idea that players should be running a certain amount of miles, even when playing so many games. Secondly, weak excuse man ETH claims key positions Mount, Maguire, Martial, Malacia, the 4 Ms not really key players or first 11 starters and neither is AWB, of the 8 mentioned yes 3 would be first 11, but the reporter is correct other teams are better run so they have much better cover, like a system to play and to train all players in so even youth players can come in to the first team and slot right in, Liverpool, City and Arsenal have that, eth and too many of the fans, still think he is a top manager and coach, not true. ETH was brought in because the money men in charge thought the success at Ajax was because of ETH, but there is no truth in that at all, he is just another poor signing from money men trying to run a football club

He's very good at finding reasons to explain why his team is not playing well and not getting good results. Not so good at finding solutions. For Man utd’s sake I hope they eventually replace him with a better more effective manager

Read through your comment and ask yourself this question. Have we actually had a good structure behind him? He just made mention of the medical team assuring him of fit LBs but we have non available for the near future. INEOS have to give ten hag at least next season with a proper structure in the summer and then give him a chance. He has done pretty well with what he has. 61 wins in 100 games is a pretty good record
