I was born in Boyton street...off Earl road.....1949...then me and me mum went to live with her big sister( me auntie Marie).....in Liffey Street ..off Lodge Lane...I was 4yrs old.......I've got some brilliant memories of "belly floppin'" across back entry walls (5yrs old!)....and playing in the "bombdies".....ahh...I loved living down there..Liverpool 8.....before I emigrated to Kirkby when I was 7yrs old.......to start another chapter of my life....

0.28 The Overhead Railway station at the bottom of Park Road. 0.37 the Dingle Bus Depot on Ullet Road, with the Gaumont Cinema in the background. 0.49 High Park Street 1.00 Windsor Street and High park Street. Note the fire alarm on the corner. Break the glass and pull the handle to call the fire brigade. 1.05 North Hill street and Park Road 1.33 Park Road and Warwick Street. Surprised I can't see Sussex Gardens, and I don't remember the wall on the right. St Patrick's church in the background on the right. 1.40 Again on Park Road. Sussex Gardens have been demolished, and modern housing can be seen. Pickwick street on the right. The bus is hiding where Miltons the jewellers used to be. Anglican cathedral and St John's tower visible. 1.45 Princess Road and Upper Warwick Street. Looking towards the town centre. 1.53 the Dingle Bus Depot again 2.00 Park Place, the Volunteer Arms pub on the right, St Patrick's Church on the left Sussex Gardens visible behind St Patrick's. 2.04 Stebble Street Baths. 2.09 Memories of Swimming lessons in Junior school, and Saturday mornings if the weather was nice. Boys changing rooms on one side of the pool, Girls on the other. 2.13 The junction of Ullet road and Smithdown road. I don't remember this being Liverpool 8, more like Liverpool 15 2.16 Junction of Upper Parliment Street and Princess Road 2.25 Milton's the jewellers, was on the corner of Park Road and Upper Warwick street. 2.44 Garage on corner of Windsor Street and Upper Warwick Street. Garage is still open as a garage. 2.52 top of Windsor street, leading into Admiral street. Shop on left corner is seen at 1.00 This all I can remember. I lived in the area from 1958 to 1974. Please correct me if my memory's are wrong.

I have told people about the Fire Alarms on street corners, they look at me like i`m making it up!! Was that the Boat Yard on Caryl st at 0.57???
