Liverpool 2-1 Bristol Rovers (1991-92) FA Cup
Спорт
A spectacular Carl Saunders goal gives Second Division Bristol Rovers a shock lead at Anfield in an FA Cup fourth round replay in February 1992, before Steve McManaman and Dean Saunders score after the break to give Liverpool a narrow victory en route to winning the cup.

I remember this game so well. The Rovers fans never stopped singing - a real party atmosphere for us Gasheads. Steve McManaman was unplayable that evening and very much the difference between the two sides. A fabulous match though and ended with great mutual respect between the two sets of fans.

+currykev truth is liverpool found it very hard to cope with rovers hit and hope long ball up to devon white routine. i always felt carl saunders was a decent player though

I'm a Bristol Rovers fan and my dad went to the game
I was there. What a game.
Another "I was there" comment. Best goal I've ever witnessed.
ha ha i was there so funny my dad supports the rovers and me liverpool, i have to admit i was a bit worried when they scored first especially after they held us to a draw at twerton park in the first game

This tie, both games, is the only Cup tie I’ve ever seen go to a replay where two players with the same surname both scored for different teams in both games
When rovers used to be in cup..
