Fast Retailing, a global partner of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, has established a sewing center with UNHCR to support the independence of Rohingya refugee women. Utilizing apparel production know-how cultivated through the UNIQLO business and the cooperation of production partners, Fast Retailing has launched a project in which refugee women produce cloth sanitary napkins and other items needed by women. The project meets the needs of refugee camps and creates paid volunteers, which helps refugee women gain independence.
