I just bought 4 of your tutorials on gumroad and I'm LOVING them. I've already learned so much and only just beginning. You make everything look so easy, I'm so impressed. Thanks for another amazing addition, hopefully one day I come even 20% close to this!

Thank you so much for this video. I have learnt so much from it! Eg. your process of starting with gray blocks, using adjustments for colours instead of painting from a palette, flipping horizontally for fresh perspectives, using select tool instead of painting directly, using distort / warp for perspectives, adding light/shadow using layer effects, adding foreground foliage, etc and etc. Also very inspired by your collection of photos, I should do the same! Can't wait to try these out!

Super video! I like the step by step information- and recording this in real time I think helps- instead of adding voice over recorded video. I think this may be the best Nikko video ever! Thanks Nikko and Procreate!! :)

Agreed! I love seeing the full process and hearing people talk about the choices they make real time. It's invaluable. Almost like an IRL mentor (except no one is there to crit your own work ;) ). I agree though. One of the best Nikko videos yet. They just keep getting better =)

The worst thing is "small screens" for me - I use a big full screen on my computer. Yeah I live to draw it's not just a hobby i would rather die than not live for my passion which is making full animated cartoons and so yeah I understand people who may want to draw at any time would benefit by working on small ipad screens etc but for me small screens just seem like a plaything....ok fine if it's just a little hobby thing where someone just wants to do "a little drawing here and there" etc but for me it's my life - and total passion - so a big screenb is most important - anyway I want to thank you for this video and all of your amazing videos real real good stuff and inspiring as heck - very insightful and the BEST part of this video BEST---- was that you acually mentioned "line-assist" -----you said how you turn it off and on for more organic shapes etc where needed but i was looking at your other videos too etc and loving all of your art and the straight lines blew me away and i have been scrambling my brains trying to workout how you got the lines so straight without using simple line tools where you click on to points to make a line etc or when we use damn rulers etc....i was so pissed off that i was even thinking about using an actual ruler and putting that on my screen but then stll want to protect my screen of course.....but you reminded me ----LINE ASSIST!!!!!! I will be hunting through the only softwares i own to find these features. I do not currently own procreate - I have photoshop but i do all of my art and full animated cartoons in KRITA ....I also have sketchbook pro and FIRE ALPACA and these work very well for what I do and i make comics etc. You mentioned 3d I am also using blender to help me with some perspective setup for scenery in my upcoming animated shows etc and i draw over images taken from 3d models but I love doing free hand 2d art like you do here too and your art is very good - great stuff

I really love your art. I was collecting random art from internet for years. then i realized, the most favorite ones are from one person. thats you. i love your style (colors, mood, humor). its a kind of edward hopper with more stylized creative humor.
