    slow it down for those who are just starting out and don't necessarily know what each tool icon is yet...maybe circle the icons you are selecting...something to make what you are selecting clearer on the video.

    For people using the free version (like me :D), who are trying to do this and can't copy paste your mesh here's what I found has worked: select (control + click) the layers you need, in this case the lineart, colors, etc and proceed with the tutorial as usual. If you do the mesh with all the applicable layers selected it makes a separate one for each! Without the need to copy paste

    Thank you so much for the straight to the point and concise tutorial! I learned so many things in the same amount of time other guide videos take to introduce themselves or explain one single thing. 😭You also used the better way (imo) to deform the face since it doesn't thin out/expand the lineart as opposed to using the default warp deformer I was taught to use Dx. One question tho, when you set the conversion division/bezier division to high numbers, does it also affect performance when you've exported the rig to .moc3? or is it just a performance thing /while/ you're still working on rigging it?

  • @fennryn

    If you're willing to try programmes like Blender, you can find free 3D heads online that you can put into blender and rotate around! you might have to warp and change the face slightly in blender to get it to look like your vtuber though!

  • @catotonic1881
    @catotonic18814 ай бұрын

    question dear fox person, why not just have the face outline be already drawn in with the face base, instead of pasting it in as you add the mesh?

  • @o0EnderNyx0o

    @o0EnderNyx0o

    3 ай бұрын

    I can answer this! While it’s easier to draw the face outline on the face skin itself, it makes it look warped in the rigging process and is REALLY tedious to try and fix. if you make them separate and glue them together in the program then it’ll look a lot smoother when rigged and a lot easier to fix if it gets a bit warped since they’d be two separate layers At least in my opinion 😅

    Trying rigging the face based on your tutorial and so far I love it!! Quick question in 5:56 - 6:00 the mesh turned back the way it was which was from Face X, and then you renamed it Face XY, how did you do it like make the mesh not scattered for Face XY?

  • @fennryn

    The reason the deformer changes name from Face X to Face Xy was because i made a typo when filming this and hoped no one would notice heh WHOOPS. All I did was go click on the Deformer, go into the Inspector menu in the centre of the screen, and added a Y to the end of the name. :)

    Thank you for letting me know! I had no idea copy/paste was a paid-for feature only. If you haven't used your free trial yet, I believe you can still use the full Pro version for 45 days for free, though!

    not sperating the lineart will likely cause the blush to clip through outline at 9:59 (some may prefer that though)

    yup! its totally ok to not seeparate the line art, but the blush will clip over it. otherwise, its totally fine!

    Its a bit of an odd workaround - but you can quickly make a vroid model for free in the shape of your vtuber's head, turn the head to the various angles, take screenshots of that, and use those?

    I would like to respectfully disagree with you that using a generic anime head shape as a reference equals copying art. Otherwise amazing video.

    I had this problem too!! Try this: right click the Live2D icon and select Propertiers. Then find the Compatability tab, and select the "Change High DPI Settings" button. Finally, check the box that says "Override" at the bottom. That solved it for me!
