Brilliant interview with Barry..I was lucky enough to watch him and Ronnie at Wimbledon in the Golden era of Speedway..sold out full stadiums every week it really was something very special…Barry could turn his hand to anything as well as running his speedway business Ronnie was speedways Steve McQueen the coolest nicest guy ever..a real gentleman

I can sum Barry Briggs up in 2 words…Grit and Determination.

Good to Briggo looking so well and thanks for the interview, though it was a bit spoilt by the break up due to internet connection I suppose. Would have loved for it to have been longer.

Lee I was wondering if you could ask your uncle Martin. This goes back to March 1975 !! Hackney normally was the first track to open. So we rode against Newport. No Phil crump as think he was still in Australia so your uncle Martin guested for him. Think he scored 10 from 4 rides and won the 2nd half. In the next week program len silver review apparently Martin dropped some glasses that was a prize for the second half win. Was this true ??? One other thing think 1975 was the decider for the golden helmet v John Louis who was more or less unbeatable at hackney. Martin on the 3rd bend just flew past think John Louis fell ? Maybe my mind playing tricks sure I’m right but Martin won the golden helmet that time. Love your interviews.
