During Covid 3 years ago, it was suggested I try coloring books to ease my anxiety. My stress levels worsened as I colored, feeling I was just wasting my time. Then the thought occurred to go service-oriented and once I began making cards for others, my fears dissipated and I searched each of you out on KZread. You 3 gals are such good people. The community you have built with your welcoming, friendly, and kind hearts towards all who enter, is so different from the worldly, competitive, cut-throat women of our day… Thank you. I wish you all good things, as you are such an unexpected blessing in my life. Now, knowing you are genuine friends doesn’t surprise me at all. This is good work and you are all pretty amazing!

I started watching Jennifer and learned so many great processes. She got me started learning how to use items that I had but were afraid to experiment. I just Love three so much… I have been making cards forever… my sister moved in with me after her husband pasted in 2018😂 she was NOT a crafter alt al… we made some Christmas cards together in 2019… she had some major heart issue late 2019 and then Covid hit…. We went full card making to keep in touch with family and friends and each week we made positive cards for 25 people each week and mailed every Monday for the last 4 years that’s a lot of cards but everyone loves them tells us not to stop. Thank you for all you do… By the way we are two old seniors in their late 70s.. Thank you

I found Gina during c*Ovid. I had made cards in the late 90s, early 2000s, but I had stopped when I developed arthritis, and I purged all my stuff. That was the days of wooden blocks. The misti is a blessing! And I'm so grateful for all the creators; I am a seeker of beauty, and y'all never disappoint! ❤️😊

Gina going live during Covid was definitely the reason I became interested in card making. It also led me to watching videos by you-Jennifer- and also Cathy Z. I still continue to watch all your videos for inspiration and because you now feel like family! You are all wonderful!❤

I started making cards with some little old ladies in 1987. I watched Gina k on Google a long time ago I actually was a stampin up demonstrator in 1989. I found Jennifer on KZread and shortly after I found Cathy Z. I love all three of you! Each one of you are amazingly unique. Amazing card makers!

So nice to have friends who craft with you. It's so hard to find here in my country. Practically none in card making from my circle of friends. The part where you all mentioned the excitement when you receive the new pack of cardstocks, I can totally relate! I got SOOO excited and happy when I received new stamps, dies, cardstocks, etc. I wondered why I am so crazy with this hobby when no one around me does. Sometimes can be quite lonely. This was so fun to watch. I found out what you all mean when you talk about the mess behind the scene. I taught a class on quilling yesterday. Most of my quilling has been put on cards and sent away to friends and family. One of the pieces I had to show as an example was not a lot better than horrible. One woman was taking a picture of it and I was mortified. I told her it wasn't the best example. She said it looked great to her. We are all our own worst critic. You all and Kristina are my favorites to watch and get away from it all. When I'm in my craftroom, I get into what I call my "zen mode". I don't care what horrible things are going on in the world for that time. I and everyone around me is better for it! Thank you ladies for your inspiration.

Loved this chat - you were so honest about the editing and presentation of perfect outputs and doing your own thing being the most important aspect of creating. I have an art journal where I keep and annotate the creative ideas that didn't work out - especially those that were great in my head and took ages, then were a mess! I said no at first, but she asked again in 2019. l said ok took it home and thought what do l do. I googled card making and Gina K was the first person l saw. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this interaction among you three. I love seeing the "other" side of y'all in addition to the crafty side. When I make a card that's "not quite up to snuff" I remember Stacey with Scrapbooking Made Simple's comment: "It's only paper". Just keep trying. The more you do, the better you get ... as with anything worth doing in the first place.

I never got to watch this live but just wanted to say that when I got into crafting it started when I went to hobby craft to buy a scrapbook for my friends 30th and I saw what is the big shot die cut machine. And when I googled to know more about it was Jennifer McGuires channel that came up and my mind was blown. Then the rest was history. So thank you Jennifer. I know you always apologise for your long videos but I love knowing I can learn lots of things and have a good 40 plus minutes downtime. ❤❤

These days, I tell non-crafters that crafting is my yoga (going back to Jennifer‘s self-help, I guess) - that seems to be a frame of reference that they people understand 😂 And, for the record, I DO think that you provided great value here: I am currently crafting along to the re-run (had promised my 10yo a movie night yesterday, so I had to blow you off) - and it feels like being in a room with friends, doing what we all love! Question for you ladies, paper weights; what paper weights do y'all recommend for particular elements of a card??? Example, if I use a heavy card base, is an 80lb sufficient for layering?
