I think a medical evaluation seeking to determine his ability to participate in this trial (physically & psychologically)…because it’s clear to me ( based on my observations of Trump thru the lens of my professional history as a retired RN) that he’s NOT able to assist in his defense. Since he can’t seem to tolerate (health-wise) being a defendant in a criminal trial…how in the h*** is he medically stable enough to run for President? Wondering if as part of being a candidate for the highest political office in our country should someone be first medically evaluated by a healthcare practitioner (a neutral provider) in order to be eligible to even be a candidate for office…with a caveat that if during the campaign a candidate’s health easily visibly starts to decline there are protections in place to disqualify a candidate from further participation in the political process…or any other indications/symptoms that one’s health would actually put the public(and or) the candidate at an increased risk(up to and including) some form of legal mechanism to have someone involuntarily removed & permanently disqualified from running for office, ESPECIALLY for POTUS. Seriously, something’s gotta give here because someone who appears to be as frail as Trump shouldn’t be the POTUS. There really needs to be a way to protect our citizenry from someone holding office who’s not healthy enough to do so BEFORE they’re elected into office.

It's disgraceful that the right-wing media continue to peddle or refuse to challenge the notion that this prosecution is driven by Biden. They refuse to acknowledge the existence of the Grand Jury process, over which Biden has no control. The overall justice system in the US has many faults, most of which are related to key players being either politically elected or politically appointed, but ultimately when it relies on independent juries, there has to be reasonable faith that judgements at that level have to be sound. Of course, the completely politically appointed Supreme Court of the US is another matter... but that's for another day.

I remember when the police were shooting unarmed black men, one in the back, several times. Republicans were like, "they should just comply, if they've done nothing wrong they have nothing to fear." Have you not seen enough already ? this judge basically pleaded with him so that he didn't have to put him in jail - I personally do not get it what it is in this country that these people are elected and they are deities - it is completely opposite of what the country was created for . its embarrassing

I think the way to start would be for a reporter to abruptly ask the mentally weakest of these senators " when did you and the former president talk about what you would say at the courthouse in NY ?". I believe the legislator would respond with enough info to result in a formal inquiry.

If they behave themselves in the courtroom, they will be allowed to stay. They intend it as intimidation of witnesses and jury, but I don't think it will work. Most jurors probably don't recognize them unless they are news junkies. At least I wouldn't otherwise. And Michael Cohen won't care.

Trump is sick. He can't even stay awake with Cohen on the stand. I really feel as if he thinks he has nothing to worry about.
