Baldwin is not really responsible, period. Her defense lawyer says that Baldwin was a producer yada yada, but his producer title was only honorable! Meaning, that he was only given one because he was the star of the movie, a big Hollywood name, so he naturally brought money-power into the movie because his name alone attracts more viewership and promotion, but that is it! And this is usually how actors end up with producer titles: it's only honorable and superficial, and they don't have any important, real obligations as producers!! Unless they are really producing the movie like Brad Pitt does through his Studio Plan B, and still only those movies that he is interested in producing on a real, serious level! She was the armorer, it was HER job to make sure live rounds were not on set! Yes, it looks like the whole production was messy and unprofessional, but that still doesn't absolve her of responsibility! If anything, all prop/armor people plus production people, including the assistant director should be punished! Baldwin was first and foremost an actor in this movie - an actor's job is to act, not check and worry about guns! If gun safety was the actors' job, then we wouldn't need armorers on set! But we need them because gun safety and gun training is the armorer's job, period!

All you have to ask is What is your job as Armorer, there should be no live guns on the set (that's the Armorers Job end of story lock her up?)

Let’s listen to the entire trial before we assume guilt. Everything they claim (both sides) must be proven. It’s only day one.

What people hardly talk about in this case is the fact that the assistant director who handed the gun to Alec told him that it was a 'cold gun', meaning there was no live ammunition in it! This is further proof that Baldwin is not guilty: Baldwin trusted the words of the person he worked with and who was in the production department and oversaw all these things. So if I have been in this business for several decades, like Baldwin and the director's expert/assistant tells me that it is a 'cold gun', then I trust him, just like Baldwin did, because I have no reason not to trust him, because words indicate that the person giving you this weapon has checked it. So why would Baldwin further check this gun if the people who handled it told him it was a 'cold gun'? This is the whole point: the production people whose job it was to prepare this gun told Alec that they had done it!! So they lied because they didn't actually check it! This fact alone exonerates Baldwin, period.

The day this happened, I called a friend who's been a stunt man for 30 years. He said a live round should be nowhere near a set. A live round introduced into a scene was beyond imagination. Then he said, professional stunt people won't even point a rubber gun at another human being. They figure if you won't point a rubber gun, then you'll never point a real gun, because even blanks are potentially dangerous.

@@acerbic6817I think Baldwin's case is easier. He pointed the gun and pulled the trigger, violating fundamental firearm safety rules. I don't know what happened on that set or how a live round got into the gun. I'm betting Gutierrez doesn't either.
