Live Taping of "The Axe Files" with Bob Woodward & host David Axelrod

Фильм және анимация

Bob Woodward, bestselling author and investigative journalist for The Washington Post, joins David for a live taping of The Axe Files. He shares insights from his four-decade career in journalism spanning nine presidencies - including what it was like to break the Watergate scandal alongside Carl Bernstein, parallels between Presidents Nixon and Trump, and how the media landscape has evolved. His newest book, Fear: Trump in the White House, chronicles in detail life inside Donald Trump’s White House.
This event is dedicated to the memory of David S. Broder, a titan of journalism whose career began at the University of Chicago, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1947 and a master’s in 1951. Known for his ability to cut through the noise of punditry and spin, Broder framed his campaign coverage by looking beyond the political machine, turning public attention to voters whose voices might otherwise be drowned out. His columns on the Watergate scandal, written in the familiar, professorial style that inspired his nickname “Dean of the Press Corps,” earned him the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for commentary. He passed away in 2011, having established a legacy of integrity and professionalism. The IOP is proud to know the Broder family as both benefactors and friends.

I’m here because David keeps calling into Jimmy Dore’s show. David never disappoints as a political firebrand with a passion for public policy

Why at 47:38 is there a portion of the interview that appears to be omitted? The discussion there is about the faults that Woodward finds in the Mueller report.

No comments on your reporting of Trump in the Whitehouse with no comments makes me want to research anything about you! Comments should have been turned on. This makes me worry about your reporting. As if you know it stems from Hitler Nazi Propaganda. This deeply concerns me.
