I’m 31, played minecraft before survival came out, and still play and have a realm to this day. It’s a peaceful place to wind down after a stressful day. Ill stop playing for months and pick it back up for a day or a week. Always end up coming back to it.

You said you wish they’d go back to misc unlicensed science fiction sets...I absolutely feel the same way. The all time best in my mind is Rock Raiders and Life on Mars, but the best modern one is Space Police III, I adore the funky aliens and punk vibe. Not very Star Trek that there’s only alien criminals and only alien cops... but if I turn my social analysis brain off I just love the theme

I actually had the first two sets growing up, and I might have even had the third. I remember getting a bunch of used lego as a kid, opened up the bag, and immediately recognized a lot of the parts from the first submarine. I always thought I was missing a bunch of parts (it was a mix and had other incomplete sets among the parts) but now that I see it being built, I might have had a complete Sea Claw 7 that I have been super unfamiliar with until now!

It’s funny seeing just how much bigger older sets are than their modern counterparts despite often having fewer pieces. I love the detail in modern sets but sometimes I miss the mass you got with primarily brick built sets.

You CAN get the eye pieces out of the really old bionicle heads (i've done it), but it's very hard to do, i know of a few demos online of how to use some technic parts to pop it out but it takes a lot of force to do it, i would look up some videos on it here on youtube.

Ahh I had a bunch of aquatic sets from back then! Lots of the evil looking guys with the harpoons. I found an old catalog from Fall 2002, still amazing memories but it was definitely the beginning of my “dark age”. The Darth Maul bust with the curvy black piece you want so much is in it for $119…

For the exploriens set in your video: I own the set and it looks SO MUCH better if you remove hands (with slopes and printed plates)! The front car will look like a proper futuristic slick buggy in a spirit of your exploriens MOC. And with the telescope section the whole assembly will be balanced and good looking. I understand why lego has added the hands since it adds play functions. But I believe this was an afterthought as the telescope section already has blue screen for decoding alien fossil.

If I can still throw a question your way though I missed the stream, I’d love to know: you have a collection or interest in reviewing the old Ninja theme? That one I always enjoyed from afar, and feel like the art style and architecture stand the test of time in a blocky kind of way. Though Ninjago architecture does a modern pan-Asian fiction very well Regarding videos about featuring community Mocs, if you want to see a good example of how that can be done check out the Bionicle Inspiration series by Ben Cossy. I absolutely don’t want or expect you to review or share Mocs as a main form of your material, but I think incorporating some with a montage here and there, or feature with your own Mocs could be fun I’m still working on my mod of the race car, like you prompted in the video to see other alts!

I look forward to seeing your 3 in 1 Street Racer mod when it's ready! Be sure to send it to my email. 😊 I would love to have more Ninja sets, but they can be prohibitively expensive to collect. I keep my eyes open for deals on them though... They have a lot of interesting/rare/exclusive parts in them, which I am definitely interested in. I'll check out Ben Cossy too - thanks for the suggestion!

Don't have a problem with having the live streams as videos. Actually finished watching this one right now. You should check out the Bluebrixx Star Trek sets. Unfortunately they only have a license for Europe. And the brick quality was quite weak in their first wave. I think that's getting better now.

If you're having trouble with inspiration for the Alpha Team videos, look up action team on euro bricks, it was the prototype to the alpha team game. There's a video reel showcasing a 3D artist's portfolio and in it is some footage of the game along with a music track that you might be interested in. If not then you'll be more immersed in Alpha Team lore.

Still have my space monorail at my father's place. These space sets and the pirates ones were my favorite before I switched to Model Team and Technic. Unfortunately, my dark age started before Adventurers came out. What does this tell about my age? 🤔 Recently started to collect Adventurers by buying bulk where I spot some Adventurers pieces in the photos. And about an original series. I'd love to see some cyberpunk sets.

What about a space adventures type theme. 50% Indiana Jones 50% Startrek using the classic space minifigs in place of Startrek Colors? Id love to see a profit based more hansolo esq opponent faction as well but that gets back into conflict in a box. Lots of opportunities for smaller sets and different environments ongoing theme with each year an exploration of a new alien world or civilization or maybe 2

@@RRSlugger yes!’ Paganomation is the animator, has a channel. It’s a playlist called “space police logs” and honestly it made me fall in love with the world, sets and characters the same way that the Rock Raiders game did that theme.
