0:20:18 - When one finds his/her guru, in my case, Swamiji. I think it's important to put ourselves in the same language or in other terms in the same trail of thought as him so we can better understand what he is teaching us. That is our responsibility as students and not the teacher's. The common shortcoming I see is the non-utilization of Swamiji's body of work (look at his syllabus) and one ends up relying only on the weekly Satsangs. Even though the Satsangs are very helpful, the Q&A we get is compressed and sometimes tailor-fit to the one who asked the question. The syllabus is very helpful if one puts in the effort to get on the same "wavelength" as Swamiji because most of the discussions there are 10+ times longer and more comprehensive than the answers we get here. We can get more answers from different angles so to speak. Since none of us are the same, the more we listen to the same teaching but from "different angles" given to us by a responsible teacher like Swamiji, the more likely that something will eventually stick or work for us. I think the common detour that one makes is having too many teachers to listen to and the language gets all mixed up. I myself am a product of that and thank Swamiji for his patience and understanding! 🙏But one thing that made it easier for me was to temporarily focus on seeing where one teacher was coming from. In my case, that was Swamiji again because I find that the manner he and his lineage teach resonated well with me. This is a biased and personal choice so whoever reads this must discern for themselves. Once I did that though, it became easier, and in all honestly I think it's also respectful toward the teacher because I won't end up trying to validate something that he didn't or doesn't teach through him. Although in my experience I think Swamiji recognized that I was just very confused with all this mysticism mumbo jumbo 😂 I hope this helps and thank you Swamiji and to those who asked the questions. They were very helpful 🙏
Shanti, shanti, shanti 🙏
Namaste, Swamiji 🙏 This Q & A Satsang was and is very helpful. Thank U so much for such direct, profound wisdom U have shared ! Beautiful explanations U have given! 🙏♥
प्रणाम स्वामी जी … धन्यवाद 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 🙂
Freedom from suffering and rebirth is also goal in Buddhism
Salutations, Guruji! Wonderful practical advice to questions which confront so many spiritual aspirants at the earlier stages of their spiritual journey. I especially loved your comments on the right spiritual goal, which is often misconstrued. Many thanks. Om Shanti 🙏🏼
🙏
I agree, there are a lot of backgrounds within these teachings, the Bible I consider the book of personalities, the Buddha I consider as the father of the mind and to me Vedanta makes sense and opens my eyes to a lot of answers. The Upanishads were written by great Seers. Guidance is the mind and the body of its mate, beyond is a soul, a pure consciousness state. May the life we live, Be from the peace we give..... 🙂🕊️🙂
❤
swamiji , you gave a wonderful hint on how to asses our progress in spiritual path. 🎉🎉
great answer to Nancy's question (around 48 minute mark) 👏👏
Pranam Swami ji 🙏🏻 or should I say Hi 👋
🕉 👍
🙏 Thank you Swami ji.
Pranam Guruji 🙏
Consider the way ISCON behaved over the years in the US I would caution your students against such fundementalists.
Thank you for wisdom - May I ask - I’m not mind or body so therefore I’m not my negative angry mind ? I hope not because cause it never seems to go fully away -
"Bible " is a Greek word, not Latin. Small point.
