To think these two scenarios are the same is ridiculous. Now I love Dan but a cold call is way different than a prospect calling you. They are not equal.

Should should forcus on clients who are unhappy with their current status 10-20% prospects, then they are willing to talk to you. If not, just ignore and move on. You cant win 100%

Interesting but: the call was not real, in the real world the prospect had a verbal quotation, the prospect didn't ask about the product, the prospect will search definitely for another quotation in the real world, the product is intangible and definitely the prospect will search for another firm because he had bad experience before.
Unrealistic the guy was agreeing with everything for the sake of the role play exercise , I’ve closed 100s of deals and they rarely go like this.
They are not power to sales my money ,my personal owner business enterprise supporter, that's my owner business enterprise money , not their owners money , why they are not my approved to come in my name accounts to do on their hands , but i don't approved to steal do my money on their own way...
