This won't matter to you but it does to me, I put my life on the line for people like you. I did so for 25 year's. I was a good cop and honored to serve my nation and then county. I never did what you imply. Nor did anyone else I worked with. And I would still, if called to do so, put my life in danger to protect someone. Even people like you. You slander every woman police officer who has died in the line of duty. There are quite a few. They've left behind loved one's who are crushed by their loss. I feel sorry for you Juan.

Poor guy. I remember being like that when I found out I was being cheated on. It was so traumatic. My heart goes out to him. It really is possible to be that upset and heartbroken about something. Especially when it's the last thing you're expecting. I believe him.

From the sound of his story it sounded like he was stopping her from taking the car. Now, if it was just his brother who had his license revoked there would be nothing of it; but since the doctrine is what it is it; circumstances doesn't matter when there's a woman involved. Might as well have had her drive off without a license and let her stand for whatever bills and bounds that comes.

When you've been depressed long enough you actually don't cry that much, you become mostly apathic. Ofcourse there's moments when you do cry, but you do feel pathethic because it's so intense when it suddenly happens. Might just be my personality though, I've been chronic depressed for 14 years. It will never go away I think, but I've learned to live with it, the alternative (suicide) is not an option anymore, for respect to my loved ones, so I just have to get through this life. It's short in the cosmos scale anyway.

@@user-nk5es9iy8i same for me, I first started to have symptoms of depression when I was 16 and I used to ball my eyes out constantly to the point I’d get a splitting headache from tensing my whole head so much…I’m now 30 and I can’t remember the last time I cried: didn’t even cry or have a reaction when my mum told me that my sister had cancer. I just get through the work week like a zombie, then drink and watch t.v all weekend. I feel the same way that I just don’t want to be here anymore but for the sake of my family (my mum mostly) I don’t have an option but to just get through it

My heart smiled at all you folks here in the comments showing compassion for that sad dude. Lesson learned for me. Dont wait til they're hurting to show em I care. Thank you all

Thankfully the tide seems to be gradually turning, with more men being given the benefit of the doubt by having police take their complaints seriously. Women are also being held accountable more frequently for their actions and rightfully being taught the lesson that if men don’t have the right to put their hands on a woman with the intention to harm them, then women don’t have the right to do that either. It’s been a frustratingly slow process, but the manner in which more and more police departments handle domestic violence is gradually improving. @Will Herman yeah they talk about income inequality and stuff, but in the end it's the man who has to deal with stuff like this. It's the man who is expected to pay for the meal or open the door. Unless they even out the playing field for men too, there should be some income "inequality." In the end men have more strength to do stuff and equal is just not fair. Women should be paid more then they are, but as long as the playing field is *not* equal there should not be total equality. If there is then your suppressing men.

I mean, it's pretty clear that the police believed the guy and his mom. But, because she called and reported it, they legally had to take him in. That's why they told him to bring his phone and show proof in court, so she could get rightfully punished. Just like they said, if he had reported it, she would have been arrested.

Police aren’t the ones who make the decision of whoes the victim and whoes the aggressor.....they get the call and they go and arrest who they have to arrest based on the evidence present to them. The COURTS decide whoes the aggressor and whoes not. The COURT decides who goes to jail and/or pays fines, ect.... People always like to think if you’re arrested for something you’re guilty of it. Just like a speeding ticket, you can challenge any charge. Just doesn’t help your case if you fight the police on the way to jail.

Here on out? It's been that way for a long time. Not just for domestics. If you ever have to utilize self defense with a weapon or otherwise, be the one to call the cops first. It's just smart for your own safety.

When my ex wife hit me, I flagged a cop down and told him what happened. "Well what do you want me to do about it? How much have you had to drink tonight?" I was 5 years sober at the time. Never did a thing.
