I'm amazed at the fact there are 12 comments. Twelve. But musicians and true fans know great talent. Just look at Carl Perkins anniversary concert with everyone in the music business. Dave Edmunds was the musical coordinator and organized the whole thing.

The epitome of rock and roll. Why these guys aren't in the rock and roll hall of fame is beyond me.

A band with four secret weapons! Dave had an ear for a good tune and often topped the original. Miss this band and this era.

Fantastic. As I recall them at Edinburgh Odeon in 1979 and the year before at The Roundhouse London. On fire. Head and shoulders above all contenders back then when it came to true rock 'n' roll.

The reason these guys were so rare and brilliant is they treated and played rock n roll as a piece of great art. Why all the rest just parody Rock n roll and bring nothing new to the table these guys had real passion and they had literally had tips and help from Chuck Berry and Nick said in a time when nobody offered to help young aspiring musicians it was actually Paul McCartney who treated Basher well on a tour and gave him some advice and neat rock n roll tricks only an ex Beatle who learned it tough in Hamburg could ever know about

Wow never knew Rockpile ever played I hear you knocking the huge hit That allowed Edmunds to buy the means to make and produce his own records if that story is correct
