Permainan berlangsung di kota metropolitan futuristik pasca-apokaliptik yang dikenal sebagai New Eridu. Sebagian besar umat manusia telah musnah akibat bencana supernatural yang disebut Hollows, yang muncul dari udara tipis menciptakan dimensi yang tidak teratur tempat monster yang dikenal sebagai Ethereal berkeliaran.
New Eridu, kota terakhir yang bertahan, berhasil selamat dari kiamat dengan memperoleh teknologi untuk mengekstraksi sumber daya dari Hollows. Zenless Zone Zero (Chinese: 绝区零 Jué Qū Líng, "Perilous Zone Zero") is an upcoming free-to-play action RPG developed and published by HoYoverse. It will release on July 4th, 2024.
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic futuristic metropolis known as New Eridu. Most of humanity has been wiped out by supernatural disasters called Hollows, which appear out of thin air creating disordered dimensions where monsters known as the Ethereal roam.
New Eridu, the last surviving city, managed to survive the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to extract resources from the Hollows. Hollows then became industrialized and monetized under the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics.[1]
Players in the game take on the role of a "Proxy" - a special professional who guides people in their exploration of Hollows. As they advance, the Proxy will recruit new members to their part as they continue to fight the Ethereal. By combining the abilities of different members, players can deploy greater damage and combos onto enemies.
Besides the engaging story, this 3D anime-style title features a fluid, cinematic action-oriented combat system. While fighting Ethereal, players can take control of different characters to unleash electrifying skills and unlimited QTE combos. The game has also developed a Roguelike gameplay mechanism that awaits exploration.
