That trick with the Tape Measure Tool for resizing...glad to know that. I've been using the Scale tool for years which works, but takes a lot longer and is not exact.

Are you using only Sketch Up 20 P for this model ? Really love what you are doing here.

Sorry about my question, but I didn't understand what tool was the one you used exactly 29:24. Is it an extension of Sketch Up? Thanks for any reply.

If you are already familiar with the plugins (which I think is vertex tools) this video is useful. If you are not familiar, it is just waste of time as you have to figure that out by yourself. Would be nice at least mentioning the plugin and option that is used. Most frustrating thing about Sketchup is there are lots of gotchas and takes painful time until you find the answer somewhere in the net.

What is that 'lofting' extension you used to fill the skin of the car?

Sorry, but I say, this is really terrible, like a child modelling. This even not a Cobra, did you see it before? For good car modelling you need a tons of photos and videos, because blueprints not quite accurate. And you can't understand how shapes looks like and what dimensions it is. Also it not a 2hours modelling, it take weeks or sometimes years (my project)

I think the goal of this and other Sketchup live streams isn't necessarily to create the most accurate model but to explore and demonstrate various modeling techniques available within Sketchup. Also, I like hanging with other Sketchup users and I think Aaron does an outstanding job hosting these live streams.

@@bamabiker750 Don't get me wrong, i also love to chill with the other 10 sketchup users, but i think this time, the model on this stream was a bit lackluster. Fortunately, this isn't always the case.

Yeah, I totally agree. This is the first time that I really considered NOT keeping the video up. It was a weird situation, streaming from home in the middle of the week working through problems right up until go live. Next one should be better... I may end up going back and tackling this again in the future... and show what I have learned!!

@@AaronMakingStuff Well, I'm very happy that you decided to keep the video. I missed it when it was live and had to watch it later after it was uploaded. Sometimes it's important to show our mistakes and what not to do - like not minding our mesh sizes for instance. You're doing a great job Aaron, please keep the live streams going. Cheers!
