  • @uevo

    @uevo

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey man, allright lets see. 1. The 505 doesn’t have an option to start recording when you play notes. I used the countdown option. Then it count’s down 1 measure before it starts recording. This can be found in the “rhythm” settings. 2. I use the “Maschine Mikro MK3” which is linked to “Maschine” software. In Logic you can use the “Ultrabeat” drum sampler or the “Drum kit designer”. I think those would be your best options. Greetings, Uevo :)

    antonio coatti , hey man, thanks for watching :). No i think that this is not possible on the 505. You can ofcourse change your input level manually for each sound you play, that's what i normally do. You could also get a small mixer and connect your instruments through the mixer, there you could set different levels if necessery. I hope it helps a bit :)

    Hey, i’ve made one video but i don’t explain it very good haha. You can find this one on my channel. I’ll try to make a better one one day :) But the setup is quite easy. Guitar goes straight in the instrument input in the 505. And all the midi instruments i have to use with my computer, which is connected to an audio interface, and the output goes to the aux input in the 505. Thats it :)

    i have a maschine mk3 and the boss rc505. how do i wire everything to my laptop so i can use the mk3 drum pads and be able to plug my condencer mic into the 505 to be able to use the input fx?

  • @uevo

    @uevo

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey there, The Maschine mk3 has to be connected to the laptop by usb. Then you have to send the signal to the 505. You can send the output of your audio interface in to the aux input in the looper. Or in to a mixer and then the mixer to the instruments input. If the condensor mic need 48v phantom power then it will not work if you put it straight in to the looper. You would have to put this in to the audio interface and then send this signal to the looper. I hope it helps, good luck :)

    I guess those who are using RC-505 for sketching their musical ideas are those who have a DAWless studio. Otherwise, except for beatboxing, why would anyone need RC-505? To use the DAW's transport functions, one could use the computer keyboard or a MIDI-control keyboard or a DAW controller (like e.g. CC121 for Cubase) or a foot controller (like FCB1010 or Nektar Pacer) or the remote control app for the DAW, running on the phone or tablet...

  • @uevo

    @uevo

    Indeed, you don't need the RC-505 if you want to produce music. Mostly I use it if I feel like just playing and doing what comes up in my mind, it's a creative tool. When using my DAW I get stuck in projects more easily, and go work on details, with the goal to produce a track. The 505 is not for everyone, but it can for sure be an amazing tool to get your inspiration going, and have lots of fun :)
