I am in love with all of you I am an 82-year-old piano teacher who lives in Northern California and discovered CYRILLEand emmetand I am watching everything on KZread that I possibly can and take great joy and watching Emmett sfingers on the piano and sublime love of cyrilles incredible talent it is pure joy to watch you all play you’re beautiful people ..you’re raising the vibrations of this planet thank you❤️🎶🎼👏🎼🙌🌈💙
This group has spoiled me for me ever needing to plug any other combo or soloists. Besides the limitless inventiveness, infinite chops, and fabulous song choices, one doesn’t find this amount of joy anywhere else on the dial. There is no deadpan, technical, self conscious, perhaps mathematically correct, but frankly boring jive going on here. This is always a rocking, ecstatic party every time I tune in. Can’t say enough.
Heard Cyrille in Boulder, CO this summer at a pop up driveway concert with wonderful Boulder musicians, can you imagine my luck? Looking for more online brought me here. Now obsessed with shows from Emmet's place. World class talent!

I've seen her in New Orleans and in St Louis. The New Orleans one was just her with a pianist. People were watching from outside the tiny bar and the inside was PACKED.

@@halcyonacoustic7366 The outdoor show I saw was in the thick of the Covid crisis/isolation, June or July of 2020. Zero live music for months on end, I would have been thrilled just to hear a 1st year middle school marching band rehearse! There was a neighborhood email notice about an afternoon outdoor jazz show in someone's front yard and I knew the local players mentioned were top notch. Social distancing and masks required, free but tips welcome for the musicians. Cyrille's name sounded vaguely familiar, so I decided to bring a lawn chair and check it out. I remember the FIRST NOTES out of her mouth (Foggy Day in London Town) and I froze, stunned at her tone, confident this show was going to be FANTASTIC. It was beyond amazing. You could hear a pin drop on this neighborhood street. I think she was thrilled to be playing as well which may have added to the energy. Let's just say I'll never forget that show.

I heard her multiple times in New York and northern New Jersey when she was living in Brooklyn, including at NJPAC the year she took the Sassy Award. Spectacular talent. Brooklyn's loss is NO's gain. Looking forward to seeing her at her next NY gig if I can make it.
I've listened to trios for 60 years and I've never heard this amount of style variety and spontaneity at this "joyous level."

Richard, you got it in one. The word "joyous" says it all. Along with "melodic" and "wide" and ... lots more... Wow. I discovered EC and his trio (and guests!) about an hour ago. And I have been listening transfixed, sent a link to my sister (a pianist) and pretty much said what you did. To hear a young jazz pianist with a head full of the best of "old" is just wonderful. OK, old guy rambling over. The smiling is not 👍🎵❤

Come to NYC! Well, when the clubs begin to open again.....this is nightly all over the city!
Thanks for the great music! I started thinking about the music from the Pat Matheny group and funny I noticed on the guitarist shirt Pat Matheny.
Emmett playing never fails to put a smile on my face.
Emmet remnds me of me 40 some years ago. I chose a career other than music. @ 64 y/o, retired & once again with my original piano since 8 years old; nothing like that piano (Howard by Baldwin studio piano) I loved my whole life. Emmet enjoy your uploads.
What a ball- played along piano and sang!!!!
I wish this happened in my lounge every night. And that bass player...so good.
I have listened to Jazz Piano for over 60 years - this is a very interesting and refreshing group with a unique style of its own that displays grace and beauty and great artistry.
Thank you guys I found just a few diamonds on KZread and you're one thanks again
Кайфуля! Folks, you are absolutely amazing! Please, keep wonderful music coming and huge thanks for it! You are a great inspiration and you are bringing relief to my heart from the avalanche of disgusting news that overwhelmed my native Belarus.
Thank you for the joy of music
"What Are You Doin' New Year's Eve" just SMOKED for me up one side and on down the other... (And that's just a few of the sides...)
Wow! The piano part on the opening piece sounded a lot like Oscar Peterson's playing! (I mean that as a high compliment!) Thank you for your wonderful music!
This is the pinnacle of jazz!
Con estos fenómenos el jazz tiene el futuro asegurado. Puedo morir tranquilo !!
Love the Raymond Scott quote at the opening. Music is a joyful contagion in the hands and hearts of artists like yourselves. Can't get enough of these sets.
Wow, you all are just tremendous: the joy was palapable, and the skill was just darn GLARINGLY good in every one of you.
Cyrille Aimee and Armand Hirsch unmatched style! a delight to anyone's ear, no words to describe when you listen music talent!! jazz is alive!!!
Sorry, I’m listening again and commenting again...... this is simply divine...... miss Jenny (out of work music teacher in midtown Manhattan) ... take care . The Bewitched is so gorgeous...”lost my heart” ..... thank you so much Cohen et al.....

The little menorah perched on his exquisite piano in that perfect studio just adds a cherry on the top..... marvelous. Maybe they’ll start lighting on the tenth and put together a gorgeous Shearing Lullaby of Birdland? But in the meantime here in midtown Manhattan I’m enjoying the difference they’re making to my day.....thanks for your comment....miss Jenny
I'm convinced that there's no way for me to watch anything that comes from any of your groups without being completely impressed and happy that I took the time to watch another one. Yall are made out of tact, taste, and joy. Just noticed that Kyle's right hand is crucially fucked up too! Holy heck! Always love his playing, but thats extra magic.
Du talent...de l'improvisation...de la complicité that's Jazz'n'Roll
Emmet’s band with Russell Hall and Kyle Poole is totally awesome!!! How about Cyrille Aimée? Wonderful singer. I love you too!!!
This is cooler than cool. Now please do Lullaby of Birdland......just a wish hearkening back to seeing Shearing playing it in Johannesburg a zillion years ago..... thank you all for this wonderful stuff. And that menorah is perfect. Miss Jenny
