Duran is a maverick and an enigma, just like Balloteli. I dont believe he is an Emery player as he is too unpredictable, but I believe he will have a top career somewhere.

@@RichardKnows I like Duran, but Emery wants players to function as a team in a system, but I dont believe that plays to Durans strengths. I hope I am wrong, because you saw his ability last night. McGinns comments after the game seem to reinforce this too. Ironically the manager who would have loved Duran would have been Gerrard due to Durans "Moments of Magic".

Duran is very talented when Emery gets the dust and shell off him he could be the finished article. Chambers did very well and definitely gave us an injection of energy but for the large part of the game Tielemans and McGinn gave everything. We have to tighten up at the back as we look so loose, I know we only have one game to go but it ate done yet and we may need to get a result at Palace. I’m not jumping up and down until it is mathematically done. 100% agree with Diaby he does a lot to break the lines but he needs to find his shooting boots for next season that’s for sure. They showed us last night that they wanted it and wouldn’t give up and that really is a game changer for me, we would of crumbled time and time again in the past, but this is becoming a different team and we are finally starting to get where we need to be. Tighten that back up and we will be a match for any team.

Always wondered why chambers was seemingly frozen out, as he had some really decent performances, even great goals. Obviously Unai hasn’t seen what he needs in him, but still great that every player that was previously “written off” has improved.

Yeah, I've always liked Chambers. He scored a banger against Leeds and always tries to pass forward and keep things rolling along.

I just want to know how Gakpo was a mile beyond everyone else in the lead up to his goal, remains camped out in advance of everyone, and when the phases of play lead to Gomez crossing it in, he STILL ahead of everyone and scores a tap in! I thought I knew what offside was 😂

I was pissed at the frame rate too. You could see the frame they used was the one slightly before Diaz makes contact with the ball as opposed to the one where his foot was touching the ball. This means Gomez was slightly further back. Conversely, the ball played through to Bailey for Watkins disallowed goal, the frame they used was matey having half a foot through the ball. I wonder how many goals have been given/chalked because the wrong frame was selected by the nimrods in Shockley Park???

The automated offside next season should be able to pick out the exact point of contact....hopefully.

I think not using Callum Chambers for the last few months was a mistake always stepped up nine times out of 10 when he’s played and I think put him in midfield as a holder he would’ve done a job because we have got no one doing it at all and possibly would be going to Athens. Great game but let’s get the RB sorted as Konsa stood off Gomez all night way too much .

No matter what we've had a season that can't compare a cup would have been nice champions league will be amazing still in my heart villa no matter what ❤

Why diaby shouldn't play for me is, just take a look at the pass he plays to Duran for his equalising goals. The pace and the height the ball hits Duran at is ridiculous. He makes us look like we have 10men. I wanted him dropped for any player for today's game.i want him too do well for villa, but this season he has really been awful. A couple of goals or assists don't mask that even in those games was still poor overall
