I grew up in Texas and we had crawfish everywhere there was water as a kid we would just grab em I don't know why everyone so chicken they don't even hurt that bad

@@scottterry2005 Good joke man. A large male with 2.5 inch claws grabbed me for a half second, then let go. I did not pull on it. I got a half inch long gash that bled like crazy. Red swamp crayfish are very aggressive. Set one on the ground and wave your fingers at it. If it's a big male, it will come at you instead of fleeing.

@@eattheinvaders.3037 growing up in Texas and comparing the crawfish in Louisiana when I visit my auntie. I'm definitely not putting my hand near a 7 inch crawfish. Walking in the river banks flipping rocks. I pulled a monster almost the size of a small lobster. Those claws will do some damage. Shoutout to my auntie for making the meanest crawfish boils.

Another banger🔥💪🏼 keep them coming

Tucking the main pinchers under the crawfish and wrapping it all with a rubber band usually works pretty good for me. They’re a little bigger than I prefer but they should work just as good. The main pinchers will bend under the crawfish. Just grab the main pinchers above the “elbow”, push them together, and force them under, wrap with band. Bass will typically attack and eat the pinchers off first btw so make sure it’s running before ya set the hook folks.

Nothing like working out and watching norm fishing 😌

I caught a 24 1/4" channel cat and an 18 1/2" Smallie on live craws last week. I dont buy them, just catch them in the stream that runs into the main creek. Hooked through the tail like LoJo does. I put them on the bottom with a carolina rig for cats and float them with a trout magnet EZ bobber for bass.

Crawfish make great bait, they're abundant so you can often catch your own, and they are eaten by a TON of different varieties of fish. And any you don't use, you can just release back where you caught them.

Craw lures are essentially my go to lure for pressured ponds. They fit perfectly on a ned head. Then after they get munched I bite them in half and use them as a jig trailer
