Wow, what an event! Super stoked to see women progress so fast and Godziek take the gold! So cool that other guys celebrated the win too, that's proper sportsmanship. And kudos to the commentators, keeping it informative and exciting, great job!

Go Alma!! great work Congratulations Dawid Godziek!! I think it was close between Dawid and Emil but i agree with the result. They both have done many of the same tricks before and Emil has won so he probably thought that run would be enough. Dawids runs have been less clean than Emils before but this time it was flawless and the flatbox gave Dawid the edge imo. It was great to see Emil landing that oppo3/whip/table that has haunted him before and as usual he is far ahead of everybody on the opposcale. Bringers run was wild. Did some mistakes and but intensity was maxed out.

Thanks for the show! So stoked Dawid finally got the well deserved GOLD!

damn! my fault for scrolling down! just one comment posted seven minutes ago! i had the livestream paused but was miles behind (had only just spotted it & started), but was getting on top of other tabs. ...came back to this and the page reloaded as the stream had finished so it's now just a replay - didn't twig this was why until i'd habitually done a little scroll down to see if someone had already posted rider timestamps so i could get back to my place quickly - too late, seen your post!! d'oh!

Even the new riders that ride crank for the first time is making gr8 thinks! Not speaking about the girls that making this sport grow even more! If I knew this sport when I was young I should have started with it but I'm a skier and I'm totally hooked on bike sloapstyle and downhill!

Congrats Dawid! Hopefully the fair judging can continue the rest of the season. I feel the last couple of years have been a little biased towards Emil, even though he has been putting down some clean runs. Today it just wasn't enough for first place.

Certainly there are points for that quality Bar Hump early on? But at some point we have to start calling a seat grab a seat grab. A proper toboggan requires a bar turn and at least a bit uf dumping.

So happy to see women competing! When I started watching these competitions a handful of years ago I wondered where they were and couldn't find any content on YT, so seeing them competing this year is an amazing step forward for the women and the sport!

Yeah it's great! One of the cool things is that, although the trick standard is lower than the men's, it does mean we get to see cool old school tricks like the nothing and the pendulum, which have disappeared from the highest level's of men's sport. I really enjoyed that.

The first run had me dying. People with money that never practice.then ending up in a competition or on gorgeous settups. being able to perform on amazing settups and them failing has me beyond satisfied. The first run... you would think this person just started going of jumps recently. Like right before the recording started. I feel bad for them. But it's really satisfying..

@@IanPalmgren undoubtedly she is but you missed my point. I wasn't criticising her ability to ride a bike, I was concerned that she's being allowed to compete at something above her level and suffer for it. The competency I referred to extends, not just to riding ability, but to being able to perform under the pressure of cameras and a live crowd. A basic riding skill is to assess the trail ahead to identify hazards, further to this she'd been practicing on the course and should have known the terrain. All I saw was someone fail on the course and ultimately crash at a low speed and on flat ground. If you're happy seeing this then maybe you're the one who needs to be better.

I’ve made similar mental errors when I’m distracted because something else didn’t go to plan, but it was an inauspicious start. I was stoked to see the other women put some high level riding down

Awesome competition, quite poor camera placement and management on some features for an event of this level in my opinion

Awesome competition, fella's were rippin. Don't know why they throw their bikes on ground after finishing run. Bikes are enabling them to do it and are crazy expensive aswell as you been given by sponsors so look after them. You still have runs left. Maybe hold your bike up if you win. Keep charging. Avagud1

The bikes take far more of a beating just riding them and even more so when they (hopefully rarely) crash. A little bit of dirt or a scratch on the paint is the least of their worries. Take a ride down the course once and I am sure you would be equally pumped with adrenaline and the joy of a successful run that you would also celebrate with little concern for cosmetic damage on the bike. Let them celebrate however they want.

I can't believe, event after event, how bad the camera coverage is. You would think red bull would have the best of the best. It's so choppy and the cameras are in horrible positions. As the riders approach the jump, they switch cameras. They do the same thing on downhill. Between the cameras and Cam, these red bull events are almost unwatchable.

If I ever hear the utterance "oppo" again, it will be too soon.
