These crimes are so horrific. It takes sadistic psychopaths to commit them. It's so pathetic how glasses were put on these psychopaths. It doesn't make them look innocent.

I love this prosecutor and I'm happy to see her a decade later still fighting for Channon and Chris.

I have followed this horrific story since 2007. My prayers have continued for the Christians and Newsoms since that day (12 years). I learned quite by accident that this animal was finally being brought to justice. I will be watching the live coverage tomorrow. May all of the perpetrators rot in hell!

A very unpopular opinion is that this was a hate crime it should’ve been charged as one.

Their friends are amazing.

The owner of the white car seems to be a candidate for a hostile witness...never seen such obvious selective memory in my life. Or should I say lack of? How special and convenient!

These people that did theses horrible crimes against 2 people who were innocent, need the death sentence asap, in Texas they would have already had the death sentence !, and the others who were there helping or even watching life in prison with no parole. This was premeditated they both died horrible deaths, the unthinkable! This man wants another trial? Are you crazy for letting this happen don't let this man play the victim! He had no mercy on this couple, none of them did! Judge what if this was your daughter, granddaughter, son, grandson, your wife, or even you? Not to mention the tax payers are paying for them to be in prison! These people are all old enough to know not to do this! This was in 2007 its now 2020 and the courts are listening to his pleads???, what about the pleads of the 2 innocent ones who they begged for their lives as they were getting Murdered, Raped, Tortured, these 2 beautiful people didn't get 10 plus trials. they got at the most 24 hours and in that 24 hours look what they did to them! They are all responsible in theses deaths, all of them! I feel for the victims families ! I knew a boy 16, I was friends with his mom he and his friends was hanging out with this 40 year old man he was buying them shoes, smokes, and McDonalds all the time, he drugged them up and buried them alive in his basement and the sick part was he was in jail for another murder before that and they let him out! I have been following this story on Channon Christian & Chris Newsom since 2009 and that's way to long!! Do I need to get a petition going to give him and whoever helped to get the death sentence and the others life in prison with no parole? Because I will if you are all going to go back and forth not knowing what to do! And to the families of the victims I am so sorry I cant even imagine I don't even know what to say! , I just pray the courts do what should be done so all of your family will have closure, I am so sorry again! And to their lawyers why are you defending these monsters? Stop what if it was your children!?

Thank you I feel the same. We need to keep this alive don't ever forget. Maybe a March on Washington we need to do more. I have a feeling someone is going to make a movie on behalf of the young couple and families. NEVER FORGET

HAVE TO SAY IF THIS HAD BEEN BLACK PEOPLE WHO WERE TORTURED AND KILLED BY WHITES IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE NEWS THIS IS THE FIRST IVE HEARD OF THIS AND IT TURNS MY STOMACH! PRAYERS FOR BOTH THE FAMILIES.

I have never seen it explained by anyone why Channon called her Dad and lied as to her whereabouts - what purpose could this have served the murderers?

I think she may have told Davidson she was expected home early and her dad would make a fuss if she was late. So davidson made her call her dad. It was to give the killers more time.
