There was no documentation of evidence,no photographs, and no interview with the occupants of the house where the body on the lawn was found. Investigation 101. Wouldn't these be the first 3 things done in an investigation? Canton Police Department got the order to steer clear of 34 Fairview Rd. Almost like a Mafia boss is calling the shots. The first responder, that never came out of the house,to ask what is going on with the ambulance and fire trucks, also known as Brian Albert, would qualify as a mob boss. Nobody likes him,and everyone knows not to go near him and his orders.

Proof beyond "reasonable" doubt only applies when jurors aren't UNREASONABLE! For an effective jury panel, most people lack the requisite emotional intelligence to be fair & the ability to give someone grace in times of trauma or grief. They don't realize that people all respond differently when experiencing trauma, or that "not crying during the trial" isn't an indication of guilt. The lunatics who hear factual, credible, common sense evidence that the car didn't strike a person - and John's injuries weren't caused by a car - from the best independent experts in the nation used by the DOJ & NHL...and _still_ refuse to accept their testimony as true - are serving on juries & putting innocent people in prison ALL over...ALL the time. So, _why_ is this our chosen justice system? Any of us could be imprisoned for something we didn't do because of those people. There are countless examples of this happening to people who were later exonerated upon further investigation. We cannot stand for this. I don't want these people on my jury if I'm ever falsely accused of a crime! I don't want my freedom taken because of a few people's blind faith in law enforcement or critique of my facial expressions. Why do we put such an important decision in the hands of a jury with NO prerequisite IQ, education, life experience, or proven open-mindedness? Why wouldn't potential jurors have to pass a thorough screening interview, mental health assessment, psychological evaluation, or emotional intelligence screening? We all agree that our current system is wrought with human error & bias, yet we've done nothing to correct it in over 200 years! Without enacting a more rigorous jury screening process, here's how we could improve the process to ensure defendants receive the benefit of the doubt while preventing wrongful convictions: A "guilty" verdict must be unanimous. A 10-2 or 11-1 "not guilty" verdict is an acquittal. That way, 1 or 2 "unreasonable" people won't cause a mistrial!

  • @eammbutler1323

I agree about a large majority for not guilty leading to acquittal but not the rest. A jury only gets a case when professionals decide to prosecute. A defendant could opt for a bench trial but obviously no same person would if Aunty Bev is the judge.

Have you see Paul’s interview? I couldn’t watch it. I watched until he told why they believe Karen is guilty, then I turned it off. I already have negative feelings toward he and his mother. The way his mother behaved during the trial would have not gone over in any other courtroom in America. She was laughing when they were reading proctors text messages and I saw twice where the defense objected to something and she had her hands up and plop them down in her lap. Judges usually tell family members if they can’t keep from crying during autopsy or crime scene pictures to leave the courtroom. They don’t want the family to show any emotion. That tiny courtroom had the O’Keefe family directly in front of the jurors. Paul said the reason they KNEW she was guilty because of the way she behaved the day of John‘s death. They’re basing her guilt on her behavior, but they said in that courtroom and saw all that evidence that proved she did not hit him with her vehicle. She didn’t hit him with her vehicle then how did the tail light pieces get there? That’s where all the conspiracy ideas come from. That the Canton remnants of a drinking glass, and some blood. They blew the snow around with a leaf blower, and didn’t see one piece of bright red plastic! so many people like to say it’s strains credulity! (Sp?).

28:04 The problem is that within 16 hours, Proctor had decided how it was going to go and he was going to make the evidence fit. My Red Flags started with the Leafblower and so cups. Then, over the next few hours the Canton is recused but conveniently the case was somehow assigned to a family friend and a cold case partner. What are the chances of is that happening with no shady business, Slim to none. I looked up the roster for MSP in 2022 and there were many MSP Troopers, far more than I expected! Then the fact that Proctor called Sert to assemble however told them to hold off until he got approval. I think it was more like until he could get KE’s interview over and get her vehicle. He had time with the vehicle before (I believe the evidence clearly showed that). Then the prosecution played the inverted video and that really put me over the edge. That video shouldn’t have been allowed but regardless, it took the Defense pointing out that what the jurors were led to believe until then was absolutely disgraceful and I thoroughly believed mistrial WITH prejudice was warranted for this purposeful act by the Prosecution and witness (as well as a number of other Prosecutorial and Judicial errors) That was clear and convincing evidence the Prosecutor was not coming from a position of truth, but rather he just wanted the win. That included all the testimony from the multiple liars that the Prosecution knew had already lied and would continue to do so. Witnesses in the beginning like B Albert and M McCabe were steadily looking at what was likely texts on their phones or watches. It was blatantly obvious!

Same for me. I went into this case without listening to any pre trial hearings. Slowly but surely so many red flags popped up. I think the cherry on top, was Troooer Paul's reenactment. That to me was ludicrous. Also Trooper Greano (sorry about spelling), trying to prove the cellubrite information was wrong. We know, as avid trial watchers, so many murderers were found guilty because of their phones. Are we to expect appeals on all of these cases 😂. And I think the gaslighting by unlikable Jen, was just the deciding factor for me. After her performance I would also say "I hit him", even though I am in another country. IMO it can only be "flar earthers" who do not believe in science, proving that it was impossible that the car hit him. I still have a private chuckle when I try and picture OJO, being hit on the arm, smashes his head, then does a 360, and then flies 30 feet.😂 I am actually looking forward the the next trial. I want to see the squirming, of all the liars.

@@charmainesanders8734 I mean a Jackson “Pirouette”. I almost spit out my coffee. Of course what happened to IJO was not funny but the state sure treated it like a comedy. My theory about Mani McCabe (manipulative McCabe) is that after her eerily quite call to 911 (the call cleaned up without the background noise is VERY telling) Jen leans into Karen when EMT’s are there and quietly says: Did you possibly hit him, do you think you could have hit him?” Karen responds with incredulity REPEATING what Jen said “Did I hit him, could I have hit him” as in “are you freaking serious right now? Given both of there personalities, I could absolutely see that happening. I would probably say the same thing Karen did. She thought this witch was her friend…far from it Jen didn’t say any of it in her initial interview and it wasn’t until after the family and friend pow wow that she called the investigator back and gave the first version of what she claimed KR blurted out. Of course that statement changed more times and basically took on a life if it’s own…morphing into something completely different than all other testimony she gave about it. I wish someone caught her off guard and asked her contextual questions about that conversation. Her face doesn’t hide lies well AT ALL!

The Trooper Union’s statement makes it very clear that Proctor is only being investigated for his texts at this time. This does NOT surprise as they have had ALL of this information for 16 months whilst carrying out an ‘internal investigation’. Clearly their internal investigations department is as inept as the Canton PD and the majority of State troopers that testified at trial. It’s so incredibly concerning that not one department seems to be looking at the entirety of what has happened here and that less than satisfactory Troopers are still patrolling the streets and highways of MA. If Read was found guilty no action would’ve been taken against Proctor and I firmly believe that any action taken against him now will be minimal as it could not be clearer that this is just a poorly conceived PR stunt. Perhaps both for and against Read protesters can come together and agree that MA citizens deserve better?!

Actually, 2 women chatting online was the only way I found out about Brandi. They, and others online can't stand her trying to break into convos and freakin hog so much of the time. I remember that group telling me that it did not just happen on her channel, which might make more sense..... But no, she can attempt to take over and give main points of cases, before the 2 or the panel would even begin to start to talk about that specific part in case. Well, I agree with those women - I loathe constant interrupting, but even more so, when you are a supposed "guest"? Ahhhhh.

So why say u saw someone in house who we know never went in house ? He got confused as to whether angel bro went in house - and Higgins wants to be in house at that point - because that is alibi

35:38 my speculation: You hit the nail on the head, about why the FBI got involved... This case is only a feather on a camels back. Why do I believe this? Proctor was speaking freely with everyone he worked with, worked for, went to school with, and even witnesses he knew. He believed he could control the narrative so strongly, that no jaws dropped. This was a normal day in the office. Not like it was the first time. At this point, a hung jury has not just an effect on Karen Read. But for every previous conviction involving evidence provided by Michael Proctor. This is why the FBI needed to investigate. (In theory)

An EMT remembering something that didn't exist??? Ok I don't know if that makes sense? 🤔 Mmmmhhhhhhhh??🤔 That's a little bit to far for my imagination to stretch I'm afraid??🧐. Usually EMTs are pretty Thorough & accurate as to what did and did not happen... They don't usually pull something out of thin air- like a big puffy jacket?? Plus because it was big an puffy- in it by itself would have made it that much easier to remember what the jacket looked like would it not?? Were there any crime scene photos taken of John O'Keefe before his body was moved- to verify whether or not John was actually wearing a big puffy jacket??? 🤔 And we know the chances of Katie the first responder lying -goes up significantly if her story has evolved from one testimony to the other... With actual memory of an a event- a person story will never change- because it's being pulled from real time memory... And trauma keeps the memory intact over time. Where's a person who is fabricating their version of a story will struggle to keep their story straight... Which was definitely the case with Katie... So, more likely then not Katie was indeed falsifying her testimony to fit into the narrative that Lily was presenting. Hence 2+2=4. 😘✌️

She testified that they spoke about it often at the firehouse. It's not a stretch for people who were at the scene and in the firehouse to hear and participate in the discussions to misremember that they heard Read say something that was actually something they heard at the firehouse discussions. It was over two years ago. I wonder if the juror(s) who voted guilty have gone back and watched any of the voir dire of the witnesses and other evidence they didn't get. It would be interesting to know the split. Bev should have polled the jurors for the record!

Personally, I think it was a bunch of drunks, just like it was at the bar punching around. When John went inside, the dog was there and all it takes is that dog to feel protective against his owners to lunge him if he was near the steps and went down it would’ve put him at a place Where he was injured or if he was already down in the basement and them play fighting, let’s call it and the dog comes up and sees it going on and intercedes he could’ve fell and hit his head and cracked it. It’s the cover-up is usually the thing it’s going to get them all. Instead of calling 911 for help, they left him to die my opinion. And then the cover-up they brought him outside to try to blame it on Karin only person that was not part of the group and was not there. They just didn’t expect her phone to connect to John’s Internet at his house at the time. Hence, the reason why all the videos in the entire community didn’t work as well as losing the one at John’s house, one site and noted it. As far as the timeline, I think it fixed it when the defense expert went and got an identical phone with an identical app to prove the time was correct to the defense. Not to mention the experts that said that car did not hit John which just sealed the rest of the evidence for me. I have never known before cops so willing to destroy their phones or have anyone allowed to destroy their phone with an investigation going on. That screams cover up to me.
