Please help me, ok so его is pronounced as "YEVO" but shouldn't it be "YEGO" ?? Because the "г" is a G not a V

Hey! At first it sounds like it would, but in a lot of cases where you see его, like in сегодня (today) and like you said его, it sounds similar to "yevo." Whereas in other uses like говорит (he talks) and когда (when), the г sounds similar to an English "g" So, hopefully this helped, and good luck learning the wonderful Russian language))
