Celtics are the worst team to root for they can play some of the best basketball in the history of the sport, but are capped by their energy and lack of focus. This has been a reoccurring theme for the last five years.

The nba set this up perfect for luka to be the first person to come down from 3-0. The Celtics celebrated like they won and played like it’s already over. It was an embarrassment. Every time I looked up tillman was shooting… or putting up a layup… I couldn’t pay attention.. and everytime Dallas has figured a team out, they haven’t looked back. I really feared this. Losing by 30 points in the finals is a big deal

This happens to really good teams. In 2022 Golden State was up 3-1 on Memphis and in Game 5 fell behind by 55 points on the road, eventually losing by 39. Two days later they won at home by 14 and won that series. Then we all know what they did to the Celtics in the Finals. So everybody calm down. Boston should close it out in Game 5, but they need to treat it as a must-win game.

To me it's relativity simple, the Celtics effort is as down a notch and they were not ready for the defensive physicality the Mavs brought at the point of attack. They never adjusted and got back to what won them the first 3 games. It was hero ball across the board once they got down double digits and it was goodnight. They will bounce back and be the aggressors Monday. I'm still waiting for a big Celtics 3 point shooting game as well. Monday would be nice...

As much as everyone wants to laugh at Bobby, I'm with him. The Porzingas question is a real one. The only reason he is still doing shoot arounds is that they want to see what he can contribute. Likely, he has a limited amount of time left to give. Maybe 15 minutes of total game time tops, but the Celtics are probably trying to determine when and if to use him. It is an extremely legitimate topic to discuss but everyone wanted to giggle at Bobby instead. So, Bobby gave up discussing it because he has class and realized he was getting nowhere so there was no point discussing it.

@@crfty97 I just can’t see them continuing to have him participate in shoot arounds unless they were considering playing him for real, meaningful minutes. You don’t need shoots arounds to be able to celebrate in a uniform. That doesn’t even make sense. I think it is highly likely he plays in game 5. Agree to disagree. We will find out on monday.

@@crfty97 No, that's what John is saying. Unless you have a quote from someone on the team, then you're just passing assumptions as fact. I personally don't believe that Porzingus is so mentally fragile that he needs a pathetic symbol from the team to feel something or fill some hole that would be there if he didn't suit up. He's a successful NBA player, and I'm pretty sure he didn't get to that point by caring about something so silly.

@@thcknast KP is not fragile, but he is no longer available for this series even though he is trying that hard, his injury was not a joke. You really think you can just put him out there for important minutes during the game, you are just hurting the team and KP. He is not playing this series anymore.

  • @thcknast

@@crfty97 if you think kp needs a symbolic suiting up then you are claiming he's mentally fragile. I'm claiming he isn't going to have any regrets if the team doesn't have him as "active" so they can have him step on the court for a play that doesn't matter at the end of a game. if he doesn't touch the court in their last game, I'm pretty sure he'll sleep just as well knowing he's a finals champion and that he played a key role in getting the team that championship. in fact, I'm willing to bet that kp would be insulted to think that they would have him dress just so he could symbolically step on the court like that.

Had to stop watching this at the 1 hour 20 something mark, because honestly, John was just being a dick. Major intellectual dishonesty in his back and forths with Bobby in some odd attempt to make Bobby look like a fool. Who’s supposed to be the leader of this group anyway? I think that attitude should be a little below John. The whole back and forth when Bobby said he knows Tatum will play better, and John says you can't KNOW that...like ya John, you can't KNOW anything with absolute certainty, but I’m pretty sure we aren't in a Philosophy of Epistemology course right now, so how about just giving people the benefit of the doubt just a little so that a conversation can actually happen and the audience can get what they’re paying for with their time. Instead, he decides to take Bobby so literally so as to not even be able to have a conversation. And then, whenever Bobby would brush it off and try to act professional and, you know, talk about basketball, yall would just laugh over him about something having nothing to do with anything relevant to the Celtics. Unfortunately, this post-game performance was quite fitting for the type of game that just happened prior. Hopefully the Celtics and the CLNS crew can hit reset…
