If you purchase the Daylight Halo Go and regular lamp. Keep your packaging and purchase information. I bought one and it stopped charging within the month and the second one I was unable to return but same issue. The charging port stops working. I hate to say anything negative but that's a huge investment and folks should be warned as it's a such a possibility.

I purchased this case from Amazon for the daylight halo go light with magnifier for travel, it is for a keyboard but works great and has room for the lamp as well as the charger and cord. Thank you Kimberly. The light I’ve used while stitching in my recliner just broke! Your video is great timing for me. Haven’t used magnification yet… pondering options but your mentioning lights that give no heat is super helpful. Thank you again.

I use a lamp that is LED lights and it has a small magnifier in the middle. It is not cordless. I have to plug it into an outlet. I also have a power box I have to charge before I take it anywhere. The power box is very heavy also the lamp. But it does work perfectly. It doesn’t get hot at all. It has 4 brightness levels. Only problem I found is that the magnification part is plastic and when I took the label off of it, it scratched. I didn’t use anything sharp, only my fingernails which are very soft and flexible. I bought it at Joanns. It was on sale. It was 30% off. So cost me $70 or so.

Thank you for going over the possibilities! I use a Brightech light view magnifiyer and light I bought years ago for around $99. It has a good heavy base I believe it may come on wheels now. It has all the differeent brightness steps on the light. The best part is that the magnifyer is a big rectangle and not a small round circle. The light/magnifyer is on a maticulating arm so I can use it at any angle in my comfy chair. I also have a Halo go in my sewing room. You can't beat the usb chargeables!

Thank you Kimberly and team for the helpful stitching light video. I'm looking forward to the next video, organization! I need that in my life right now. Currently I'm using the OttLite 16" rechargeable LED Lamp. When unplugged it only has a 2 hour span. Not ideal, but with my busy schedule, I don't have chunks of time to dedicate to stitching, wish I did...

I have a small OTT light that folds and flexes, and a larger OTT light on my desk, and a retractable light with magnifier attached to my sewing table, and a very small clip on light/magnifier next to my stitching chair, and a floor lamp over my chair. I have a ceiling fan to combat the lamp heat, if needed.

I’ve got a couple of different lights and mag lights around the house. I like OttLites as the are usually strong, multi level and reasonably affordable. (I got all mine at Costco.). I just bought a Halo Go mag light for retreats and I made a case with soft and stable. It won’t protect it if I drop it from high but it will offer some protection when travelling.

A quick observation about the „new“ lamp/magnifier around the neck option…..my mom gave me something from way back, very similar but very basic - a magnifier also on a „string“ to put around my neck and instead of being completely flat against your chest, it had like two „legs“ that were to hold it stable. Well…in the end I did not like it because you get it positioned on your chest to look down and as soon as you have to say turn your fabric over to end a thread, the whole thing came away from my chest and began swinging around. I then had to readjust it in just the right position again to begin stitching. Maybe this one will be better, but for me anything not „attached“ (like on glasses or glasses themselves) is too susceptible to excess movement everytime you move your body. Not easy to explain myself….
