This game holds a special place in my heart as I was born in Hong Kong but immigrated to Canada since I was 4...and I never went back. I'm now almost close to my University graduation. I still speak a bit of Cantonese as my grandparents can't speak English (no subtitles needed XD) but my parents still frequently watch HK drama & movies which let me get glimpses of how my birthplace looks like. While it isn't a one-one scale, Sleeping Dogs environment really makes me want to go back once I get my degree.

danny yapp Because of the game ending, I don't think there will be a sequel to Wei Shen's story. Maybe a prequel for Dog Eyes or Winston. That would be pretty cool. But I really hope there isn't a sequel to Wei Shen. Cause I like the ending just how it is.

danny yapp There technically *IS* a continuation to the game's story in Year Of the Snake (one of the many DLC's of the game.) It continues it pretty damn well, actually. And for Killa who thinks the ending was fine how it was, you must have not played that DLC. (P.S. There were a few images of the next game being made a couple years ago by one of the people at Square Enix, so that's happening...)

I love the voice actor for the main character in this game. He should definitely be featured in more games. Also THIS GAME IS AWESOME!

Just bought the game a few days ago, it is amazing ! Decent graphics, story is really good character development too with awesome hand to hand combat and a lot of action! Side missions are fun too, you can even go on a date with Emma Stone haha I dont get it why people praise Gta so much...I like this game more :)

Games that are popular amongst to the community are always praised.Naturally people are going to gravitate to something they have heard of or at least played ONCE. Regardless of the story. Now a days people are focused more on the graphics cheat codes, gore and explosives. No one ever pays attention to the actual story they just care about how many explosives, kill counts and getting the highest score possible. Shame, such a shame. Games that do not fall under the category of popularity amongst the public tend to be better. NOT ALWAYS, but some of the time. FF VI for instance. No one has ever really played the game, they always play seven. always because they decide to go off of someone else opinion rather than try something different.

This will always be one of my favorite trailers of all time. Live action, super bad ass, looks amazing and represents the features of the game pretty accurately. Love it.

had a big urge to play gta 5 and got sleeping dogs off steam for 5 bucks. i actually wanted to do the side missions, i loved the story (which doesnt happen in this type of game) i loved the driving, the jacking,.shit even the gunplay and when you vault and slow down..its actually why i didnt even want to play watch dogs >.> and wei shen..wei shen is one badass mutha. quite likable as well

Precisely,Wei was actually a good protagonist(and a badass one at that),he had awesome lines(FUCK Dogeyes!) and was a REAL character .Sleeping Dogs has a true combat system(who cares if it is ripped off from Batman?),while GTA V has a punch and a kick command,and its characters don't even try to fight correctly(when throwing a punch,they seem to be dancing like idiots).GTA's story is a series of random events revolving around 3 generic protagonists that are nothing more than criminals with no justification behind their acts(a bland rich guy,a hobo homie,and an unoriginal psycho). Also,Sleeping Dogs has got this amazing trailer,while GTA's trailers were simply....lame

***** Well for starters, you have the "Face" missions, then you have the "Girlfriend" missions, shit loads of collectibles, Lots of story, it took me around 20 hours to complete the story and some extras, there's also karaoke. And pork buns. Don't for get the pork buns. With GTA V may have a lot of story, the psycho missions, (or what ever they're called) the shrink and the heist thing, aside from multiplayer, it gets kinda boring and it's not as interactive. That may be because I haven't completed the whole campaign, (my neighbor told me it took him 2 days to beat the story) I feel that GTA V is just less interactive.

I strongly believe SquareEnix will bring this back even if the original developer United Front Games shut down. Look at Nier, the sequel was made by a different developer and it's also a SquareEnix IP. This game is better than any GTA.

10 years after launch, there is still nothing like Sleeping Dogs

Whatever the (presumably low) budget was for this, they wrung out the most from every last dollar. Looks fantastic!

Sleeping Dogs 2 was one of the most immersive games I've ever played. Everything was great about it.. The storyline, the fighting, the visually stimulating environment, even the music was awesome. Only bad thing about it was that it ended too fast. We need a part 3!!

My fav dialogue in sleeping dogs "I'm one of them"....

This game has a certain essence to it..a feeling which I can't describe..when I started playing the story mode, I couldn't play any other game till I finished it..I was totally enroped in its universe 😍

One of the greatest games I’ve ever played.

I love this game, it was extra excitement for me back then because I am from Hong Kong and having a game based in HK with this level of graphic is insane. Back then I wished that it can come sooner than later, but now I wished that they spent more time to develop the game map and other minor tasks. the game has a great story line and the fights are fun to play, but in the end, the completed game felt short in other areas.

Great trailer, I love how it even goes in slow motion when he does that vaults over the counter while shooting just like in the game

All these years later and I never knew that there was a live action trailer. I bought the game the day it came out for the 360 and finished it completely along with both DLC's, fast forward to 2018 and I found it free on the PSN market. I downloaded it and played completely through it all over again along with the add on's and it was like a new game all over again.

How much better would sleeping dogs be if it was a film?

Psss, hey, yo, wanna check out my playlist for accurate fight clubs and 2 missions?? Go on, i even use the lock on system when fighting. 007Tobi Who ever you are, you do have a wonderful point, learn the combinations right and you won't be needing defense, this is the reason why I enjoyed the game, the techniques and combos offered in this game are so god damn good. jsyk i checked your vids. you're good!

year of the snake is mostly inspired by enter the dragon movie you go to island & take part in fights several of the oufits are copied from the movie.

Yeah man, this is definitely a game you want to get. It won't disappoint you. The opening of the game is simply one of the greatest openings a game has had for years, and the story keeps staying strong all the way through-out. Definitely a must play.

Sleeping Dogs is officially 10 years old 🥳

I started playing this from my cousin's pc 5 or 6 years ago and i brought my own pc on 2018 this was my first free roaming game and i am still playing this i will never forget this game😌💝💯

I hope they make they evolve the combat. having the choice to learn different styles would be amazing. Like in true crime NY different styles affected the power and speed of attacks.

In regards to a sleeping dogs sequel, I’ll say this: Dragon’s Dogma is now getting a sequel 10 years later. In short, don’t give up hope. There’s now a chance Sleeping Dogs could come back!
