This was the earliest that got me into anime. And that's how I became an Otaku.

Faster than a key on the type writer, our young heroine (what is her name?) and Cuddly Kitty become The Punctuator and Emoticon the Cat!

True. Though if she wanted to change the story, writing an AU fanfic online would've been a bit more... practical.

Of all the bits of Between the Lions I could remember at random times all these years later, it had to be this oddball! So much packed into an awesome two minute exercise in proper proofreading. The anime style stuck out like snow in Death Valley, and the intensity of the line deliveries is endlessly quotable to me. Go ahead, shout it out next time you're completely alone for a while: "MOVE THE PERIOD!" Kinda motivating, isn't it? Right up there with Zordon's "Behold the viewing globe" or Jason/Tommy uttering "It's MORPHIN' TIME!!!" in my book!

No it's not. Christiana Anbri voices Little Wendy/The Punctuator and Chris Phillips voices Cuddly Kitty/Emoticon the Cat. Tim Lagasse voices Poopsie the Pooch and The Wolf. I'd know. Poopsie sounds like Paz and the Wolf when he says "I'm hungry!" sounds like Barnaby B. Busterfield. Unsurprising because both Christiana Anbri and Tim Lagasse were on both Between the Lions and Blue's Room, and Tim Lagasse uses Poopsie and the Wolf's voices for Polka Dots and Dress-Up Chest in Season 6 of Blue's Clues and the "Snacktime Playdate" episode of Blue's Room. And Christiana Anbri voices Moona the Moon Fairy.
