Oh what a magnificent flight line! I wish more vintage home movies of those years would be posted by people. Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Thank you😊. Some film background. This video is a transfer I recorded off an original 8mm - 3 inch reel. The one you are watching was acguired at an estate sale and saved from the dumster. I have the orginal name and address that was printed on the box. The owner was a military officer. ---FYI. Many of these old home movies deteriorate over time. One of my motivations for film preservation. So needless to say I was amazed watching the final cut on my 5K TV Screen. Like I was was actually there. But that's just me😀. Please feel free to share with others. Best watched on 5K screen👌.

Thank you for your reply. If I may ask, did the base look different when you worked there. Compared to this film.

Thank you for your reply. Glad you enjoyed a look back in time. Hard to believe that only a few of those military jets survived. And are now displayed in museums. Be interesting if any of those jets ended up being shot down over North Vietnam. Since this film recording took place in 1964.

I was stationed at LRAFB from 1990-2009. That flight line still looks familiar.

Thank you Max. Glad you enjoyed the look back in time. And yes, the cars are also interesting. By the way--did you check out the Convair B-58 Hustler on display at the show. - Jan
