@waroga Yes. Don't you see? Little nightmares 2 is actually a prequel to the original game. Six doesn't want to eat her brother so she let's him go instead of eating him. Thats why her stomach growls at the end of the cutscene of the secret ending. THAT'S why she eats the gnome in the original game. She'd feel guilty for eating her brother.

I honestly don't believe he was in there for years. It just felt like it for him. My bet is that it's the tower slowly taking effect on him and changing his appearance. Look at Six, she wasn't in there long but she gained a monstrous appearance.

I was thinking the same thing.

This whole game is a nightmare, a never ending nightmare. When six abandons Mono, she grabs her stomach as she walks away, suggesting that she dropped him so she wouldn't eat him. Mono doesn't die, he gest stuck in some type of limbo, where some entity (the eyes) corrupts his mind and turns him into a long slender husk. The Thin Man is tasked with finding and capturing Six, but he is unable to interact with the world directly. To get around this, he sends a younger, kinder version of himself to find Six. This explains why Mono has a connection with the TVs and why when they turn on at earlier parts of the game, Mono goes up to them and Six doesn't, Six knows that it is an older Mono who wants to be free to enact his revenge on her for abandoning him while Mono is curious as he is subconsciously a part of The Thin Man (this is also why Six pulls Mono out of the TV when he gets close to the door. And why The Thin Man leaves Mono alone after capturing Six as he has got what he wanted, it also explains why The Thin Man pursues Mono during Chapter 4 as he his trying to prevent Mono from repeating the cycle of betrayal and fear) When you get Six's raincoat, to right of that room there is a broken TV, this leads me to believe that when Six went through the TV at the end, she came out there, and ditched her raincoat to try and be more inconspicuous. Six would then make her back through the city back to the forest where she started looking for the music box to comfort her. This explains why she is always slightly ahead of Mono in the game, as she has already done everything before, but in reverse.

No not quite mono have static power that let him consume static soul and travel inside static tv, but what he didn't know is that his power can also mind control/manipulation via static and travel to any static at any point at any timelines as long as it has static, that why the tower use him to manipulate the people and that mean he is the reason the world turn out like that in the first place(or he already know this but don't want to use it because it evil af) And the reason six has the insane hunger which she never have before because she stole most of mono power (that why his adult self are no match for him) and when she use mono power to escape via static portal she lose her "static" soul which make she lose her moral compass and creat new missing void inside her because she's now "empty", as seen in the ending when her soul disappear then her belly began to rumbling.

I would 100% agree with that my guy. Though I would guess it’s a parallel world where the Thin Man decided he won’t wait for Six and Mono to return and attempt to save Mono, but instead he decided to end it all and leave the past behind and trying to not affect the future drastically. Maybe deep down he knew Six’s betrayal was inevitable and no matter what happened, even ripping Six out of reality, that little bitch would always come back, get to the Signal Tower, then leave Mono behind in the vile depths of true Hell.

from what i remember, if you get caught by thin man (as mono) he doesn't try to kill you, or eat you or anything, he just grabs you. i believe he's just trying to stop you from going what he went through (aka six dropping him and leaving him to die) it's a theory that he tries calling to you (the hallway at the beginning of the game) and to let him out. (all a theory but idk) there's a lot of theories out there, but i've heard about this one a LOT lol.

That cant be, because in VLN, you can see a pic of the hanging man, so he probably had some influence on the nest, also, there's another pic that shows him, the pretender and a lady that looks like the teacher, possibly indicating that the pretender is the daughter of the teacher and the hanging man.

Everyone's wondering about six but I'm more concerned about what kind of lovecraftian abomination that thing at the end was.

I think it's probably some representation of a corrupt government, opressing those with the potential to oppose it (Special children, like Mono and Six) and monitoring and controlling it's citizens every move, hence all the eyes, the signal, the brainwashing, etc..

@@gitgud7457 yeah from what it seems it looks like the abomination is the one in control, seeing as it lives in the signal tower where it can keep watch over everyone. It’s the thing that made mono into the new thin man and most likely the thing that made the last person that dared to walk into the tower into a thin man as well. It could also be the thing that made six into a monster and gave her the curse that always makes her hungry. Heck it might even be the thing that gave the thin man, the lady and maybe even mono their powers. But we will have to see if that is tru or not in the later games.

As children we don't understand some of the actions of our parents, we think of them as monsters when all they are trying to do is to protect us not only from the outside world but also from themselves: they take decisions for us or stop us from doing something so that we don't repeat the same mistakes they did. So that we don't end up like them. End up being a monster

It is interesting to see that she's hungry right after. It's possible she didn't want to eat her friend, so assumed a quick death would be better, unaware that he's alive, I guess. Then seeing that static black/shadow Six, which is something we see in the first game around the time she eats the gnome, which was the runaway kid from the dlc. Either that's like her hunger since her stomach only started to rumble after it showed up, or Mono sort of haunting her/tormenting her and it was a coincidence that we heard her hunger. He saw them prior to defeating the Thin Man, and it led him to where he needed to go. Whether it was the Thin Man or Mono's ability. Mono seemed to have unintentionally released said Thin Man by messing with the tv's, which turned on around him, which could have been the plan. Lure him in and get released, but Six managed to pull him away every time, then we saw when she failed to do so. So, seeing as how Mono seemed to have taken his place and abilities, like Six and the Lady, he might be trying to influence her or something. Either he's just making the static Six to taunt her, or he's making her hunger, which gets worse each time. Bread, meat, a rat, a gnome, then the Lady. No clue. Guess we'll just have to wait until the next one or comics.

Interesting theory ..I believe this is a prequel to the first little nightmares and a sequel to very little nightmares..i believe this takes place before the events of the Maw cause six does not exhibit any hunger til at the very end once she was exposed to the transmission...I think that may even be the source of her hunger and I might be bugging but if you look closely at the shadow six, it morphs into a figure that looks like mono with the paper bag..

Maybe the Black tower gave it to him, as we saw it giving the music box to Six. I think the tower may even be its own creature, that needs someone to be the core of it, so it took Mono, who later created the time paradox, by trying to save himself from Six'es betrayal.

Wait, if mono is the thin man, then that means he experienced everything mono did and he knows what mono (himself) has been through, which means he could’ve looked under the bed and gotten both six and mono and ended the loop, or maybe he forgot about most of those memories because he’s been sitting in a room with nothing to do for years..

As soon as Thin Man appears, it automatically means Mono WILL escape and become Thin Man to repeat the exact cycle, they're both the same people where one represent his future-self and the other represent his present-self, so the only way to break the cycle would be to add somebody not involved within it to break it because the tower seems to be only able to influence reality upon a certain area only (The city). It depends when exactly you killed her. If you killed after she gave birth to you, then you'll still be alive, but you'll change and face new consequences depending on how much your mom affected your life, so you will exist as the future-self of your new life (If that's how you put it). If you killed her before she gave birth to you, wouldn't that get you erased from existence?

No! (My Theory) The Flesh Walls needing a Host for the Radio Tower! The "Thin Man" was searching for Children because so he can replace himself in the Chair so that he can escape the Tower! Notice Mono defeated the "Thin-Man" in direct Battle but the Tower didnt collapse! Six was already the new Host to the Tower but Mono saved her! After that the Flesh Walls are chasing both of them because the need a new Host pretty fast or they will collapse! In the End Mono turnt in a NEW "Thin Man"! But the Thin Man we encounter in the Game is a different Person than Mono! No Time Loop WTF! 🤣

I've read that Six lets Mono falls because her hunger pain reemerged right that moment and made the choice to let Mono fall rather than to eat and kill him herself. Plus secret ending wiki shows Six shaken because of what she did to Mono, meaning Six did value their relationship.

My belief is that this is a prequel to _LM1_ and the hunger emerged after Six left Mono to die. Seen some cool theories about this game but that's my favourite. She dropped Mono because he destroyed her music box. The time she spent trapped in the TV might have been short in the real world, but it felt like years to her - look how big and monstrous she grew. It left her twisted and addicted. Notice how the world behind the door looked like the inside of a stomach. I believe it corrupted her in some way and the hunger is a side effect of having left the television behind. Another theory I like (but which hurts my brain) is that Tall Mono goes after Six _because_ of what she did to him as Small Mono in a bizarre time paradox that will never end.

Mono: can’t wait to get out of here so we can really get to know each other... Six: oh I only like you as a friend... *drops mono

@@jinnn5545 i dont think theres really anything that hints to them being siblings other than they basically look identical. Their skintone and their build, and when mono takes off his hat and we see his face and hair, he looks JUST like six before she put on the raincoat

Aight so here's the rundown of what I understand about this series: This is a prequel to the events of the first game not a sequel. Mono is confirmed the Thin Man by this ending. After getting betrayed by Six he becomes master/controller of the signal tower. We can assume over time he was warped and partially consumed by the "true form" of the signal tower that being the amalgamation of corpses and body parts from 2:58 onwards till 3:58. He uses his power to transform it into brick and mortar in order to hide it's grotesque appearance. He is a master of time so he goes back in time and tricks his past self into opening the door to his prison in order to release him from the signal tower so that he can destroy or absorb six before she can betray him and consume just enough of his power to escape on her own. (2:00 till 2:14) At 7:14 we see her escape the only reason this was possible was because she absorbed his power since before she couldn't enter the TVs at all only Mono could. However absorbing his power even partially adversely affected her. We see her glitch which we can assume to be her soul where she had any goodness aka where she wasn't a total dick to everyone but since it gets left behind she is left with insatiable hunger hence the reason we see her eating constantly in the first game in order to fill the void.

7:29 the paper on the bottom left corner shows the place of little nightmares 1 and its called (The Maw) and the black spirit that was in the secret ending always shows up when six is hungry and you can also find it in little nightmares 1 when ever six eats also the suitcase that was in the room with the monster (six) is the same suitcase that was in little nightmares 1 at the beginning of the game so i think that little nightmares 2 is a PREQUEL to little nightmares 1.

What If after the ending six wanted to go back for mono and this time make things different. Like change the loop, I know she wouldn't betray him because at the secret ending she was hungry and I knew she didn't want to eat her best friend/friend. Maybe there might be a Little nightmares ||| to say it all!?

@@kingduckdodo6672 i dont think she was faking it, six didn't have to hold her hand out for mono when he jumped she could've just left him there but she tried to help. It's established that six has a bit of a hunger issue in LNM1 and there is a chance she would've attacked her friend and possibly killed him. The way she walks at the end isn't her usual animation for walking or running its one of shame and maybe even guilt but its revealed she was hungry and no matter what the outcome was mono would have died. Six at the beginning of the game was skittish and afraid of mono yet we see a role reversal in LNM1 where the gnomes are afraid of her and she shows affection towards them, i dont think she saw him as a threat but a friend and maybe her hugging the gnomes in the first game is a way of reconciliation or guilt.

So Mono becomes the next Suit(Thin Man/Tall Man), Who are we running from then? The popular theory I'm seeing is that we travel back in time to stop ourselves from being betrayed again(Though it isn't insinuated that we can travel through time. Yes, The Suit can travel through TVs, Phase short distances, Slow the perception of time in his realm, Manipulate the living entity that is the Mainland or something along those lines, and change Six into the monster form at the end. Hmm, Maybe it is possible but who knows, Maybe we get DLC confirming something). The secret ending shows Glitch Six nudge Six that just let go of Mono and escaped toward what I presume is a poster for the Maw(Though it looks more like a weird turtle shell or something, Maybe a lighthouse on a hill?) so she goes there and that's where Little Nightmares picks up. Shortly into the game we find The Hanged Man, Which looks like The Suit and below him is the same kind of chair Mono sits in at the end, But our Mono stays on Mainland to potentially continue the cycle so what happens between the games to lead Mono(Or a past/near future Suit) to hang himself aboard the Maw? Personally I'm a little sad Six let go of Mono but I knew as soon as I realized we were traveling with Six that we were in a prequel and Mono was going to die or something similar. I still absolutely love Six and I am totally looking forward to what DLC and analysts will bring about in the future but I suppose that's about it that I personally can gather right now. Did I get anything wrong in this summary and question bit? I'm by no means an experienced explainer of endings so it's very possible lol. Thank you Little Nightmares for the wonderful story and emotional attachment to the characters that I've formed!

If it is a never ending cycle of Mono becoming the Thin Man, him hanging himself aboard the Maw may have been a hopeless attempt to end the cycle.

@@LowIntSpecimen I suppose it's definitely possible. So are you thinking Mono/Thin Man from the last world line hangs himself beforehand to try a situation where he doesn't interfere? Or are you thinking he hangs himself after everything happens so he doesn't go back in time? Though that opens more questions at the same time, what if the Thin Man hangs himself before the confrontation so Mono never has to jump and Six doesn't have the chance to drop him into the abyss. I wonder if we're all missing some big piece of the puzzle somewhere or if we're all jumping to outlandish possibilities and the real answer is much simpler than we think.

@@K_N1ghtm4r3 I was thinking he was trying a situation where he doesn't interfere, and yet Mono seems to be travelling to the Signal Tower for his own reasons anyway, why else would he travel to the Pale City with Six? The LN universe could work with a sort of fate, and that no matter what the Thin Man does Mono is fated to be trapped within the Signil Tower.

@@LowIntSpecimen In the world line we play, It seems to me like there's a sequence of events that almost forces them there rather than an intended destination but fate could be a defining factor in that. It makes me wonder how this game would be with a gameplay loop of trying to fight against fate or something along those lines. However in that kind of game I feel like the Little Nightmares feel might be lost a fair bit. Maybe in another game that would be really interesting though, Like Higurashi if you're a fellow weeb or Groundhog Day I think is like that.

@@K_N1ghtm4r3 I agree with you there about it not feeling like it would fit in a game like Little Nightmares, which is why we don't know the Thin Man is trying to help Mono until thr very end of the game, and instead of changing his destiny Mono does become the Thin Man. In some other media, maybe Mono would've had a happy ending but it wouldn't fit with the tone here, and so instead it is just a broken man hopelessly attempting to save himself from eternal torture.

It was bad enough playing The Runaway Kid turning into a Gnome only to be eaten after attempting to show Six some kindness...but to be this brave little boy who saves Six several times & befriends her only to be abandoned by her into oblivion. Alone forever in a dark nightmare that never ends. 😢😭💔

I feel like Mono was the thin man the whole time He knew what was going to happen to him so he tried to escape his fate. But ended up turning into the thin man anyway because of what six did to him. It’s possible that The Thin man was trying to save Mono the whole time to stop everything from happening

Give them pleasure. The same pleasure they have when they wake up from a nightmare. It was almost like a reverse nightmare, like when you wake up from a nightmare, you're so relieved. I woke up into a nightmare 👻👻👻

this is game is unlike any other games that we've been playing. the game doesn't have any text to at least tell a story. no voices for a conversation. everything in here is a friggin' mystery.

Six’s shadow kinda looked like a gnome in the secret ending, might be a connection

I hope that there will be a way to ‘save’ Mono and Six at some point, possibly even break their respective cycles(if it’s even possible, that is).

When the Thin Man sits in the chair, you can see that he's slightly rocking himself back and forth and moving his fingers. Idk what it means, I just decide to mention it because you don't usually animate stuff like that for no reason.

I like how six dropped mono because he is the thin man but then mono becomes the thin man because she dropped him.

I'm pretty sure that's the same tv that was shown at the end of the LN I DLC two chairs fuzzy tv almost identical and what if that teaser was teasing another game or DLC after LN2, I think because the tv signal is still being broadcasted even after the events of LN I and also how the TV doesn't break when six uses it, so does the thin man/Mono eventually get out or what...just some crazy speculation

The shadow of Six from the TV, at the end, looks like a tall man with a hat.... Am I the only one to see this? And it kinda looks like the black clone emerged from this. Maybe Mono is still with her in a way, "watching"

Hope they can clash like kong and Godzilla six the queen of the vampires and mono the tv tall man

Six in saving Mono, basically doomed him to a time loop. The Thin Man you fight, is infact him repeatedly attempting to stop himself from helping Six. Each sequence that has Mono attempt to run to the door is him calling out to himself.

The secret ending shows Six’s soul being taken out of her body(basically the good inside of her). When the Thin Man captured six her soul was taken out of her body and so all the good inside of her is basically gone.Because of this she has an Insatiable desire to eat to fill the void of her lost soul.This game is a prequel to the first game so she actually didn’t have that hunger before.

It can’t possibly be that you came up with this hypothesis in your head and decided that it was a fact? There’s no evidence to suggest that she knew this was gonna happen, and even if she did, that ain’t a good reason to throw someone from a height? Couldn’t she pull him up and get her ass away from him forever by falling down herself? If she cared then she should at least put aside her ego for the sake of the friend she wants to “protect”. You can’t just decide that murder is the one and only answer before considering all the other options. Mono would still crush her if that was the case. He just gave thin man an ass beating, how do you think he could lose to a starving little girl?

Guys i realize something this the same place when six gets kidnapped by the thin man but in the different timeline if u can compare it to the scene where the thin man shows up on tge tv and kidnapped six and the secret ending when six escaped the signal tower its the same place

I mean, he did break her music box...

In a way ‘dying to the thin man’ (more getting caught) is the better outcome as it might stop the supposed time loop mono is forced to be in.

apparently the thin man doesn't kill you if you get caught, not explicitly at least, so if you fail then you literally just get rescued by your future self from the little nightmare that is six.

I don't know if it was a coincidence (probably not) but when Six's stomach growls there's a moment where her shadow is the Thin Man

Es claramente una precuela. Poco importa lo que los desarrolladores hayan dicho al respecto, ya que tras ver el tipo de genero que tratan, nomas quieren "dejar a la imaginación" de cada quien el como suceden los hechos. Pero detalles como el gorro de Six y este final dan a entender que se dirige al Barco del primer juego. Sobre momo, aqui si se podria debatir bastante. Vive un ciclo eterno en donde el se captura a si mismo para algún propósito? Es realmente el mismo hombre delgado o sencillamente ocupo su lugar? Si miran bien, apenas llegan a la Ciudad se puede ver por todas partes trajes y sombreros colgados, como si el ciclo se hubiese repetido infinitas veces, algo como un loop. Lo cual tendria sentido ya que hay gente real viviendo por las calles, y de alguna forma u otra el hombre delgado (momo) se alimenta de estas. Six porque lo abandona? Tampoco es claro, pudo haber predicho como acabaría momo o quizás simplemente no quería hacerle daño a futuro, y prefiero "acabar" con todo de manera mas abrupta (recuerden el hambre insaciable que esta tenia durante el primer juego). Segun algunos devs, se comento que momo regresaría para otra aventura, lo cual da a entender que podrían encontrarse ambos en un futuro...

I really think Mono knew about the loop and that's why he covered his face and not letting Six see it, but taking Mono's personality at the end where he just only cries about the betrayal and then doing nothing but growing up till become the thin man, that last thing makes think he knew what was going to happen, he knew Six would let him fall, but still he's trying to change her decision.

Am I the only one who hears "Lure of The Maw" briefly when the game reveals the poster of it!

So mono means 1 right? And the girl in the rain coat is called six. (And I believe the runaway kids name from the dlc is seven?? Don’t quote me on that one though) I feel like there are some strings here that can be attached. Anyone wanna help me out on that?

Pretty neat that both of the kids are destined to become essentially top of the food chain predators in their nightmare world. And both are fighting their future adult selves in the end. Mono becomes freaky television man who eats or steals faces and eyeballs, Six becomes a freaky geisha who eats souls.

great game, so many interesting theories, hope we get dlc

To be clear, Mono transformed into the thin man by being inside the tower, just like six turned into a monster version of herself, she betrayed him by stealing his ability to travel through tvs and since she didnt needed him anymore she just let him go, after she comes out of the tv she sees a glitch of herself, this Im not sure why, the drawing shows The Maw, and the game makes this seem like that is her next place to be also meaning this was a prequel, her hunger for power starts right there as you hear her stomach growl which never happened before in this game, “Little” Nightmares must mean she is the nightmare, obviously she is not from this world as you can see “mutated” regular size humans there, she must be after more power so she travels to different parts to get what she wants, and The Lady will give Six her most valuable boost of power which can kill even big enemies just by looking at them.

Okay so watching this someone tell me if I’m right or wrong. So whoever the six is that why play as in the first game isn’t six. She’s either a copy or some dark imposter or other. That shadow six is the real one and she never got out. Meaning this imposter dropped mono and the real six is there watching in the first game every time this imposter eats. She never got hungry once in the first game but whoever came out of that tv gets hungry multiple times in the first game

my theory is maybe they want six to destroy the tower and might encounter a very pissed off mono who tries to stop her from destroying the tower?

When i finish the game and find out that the thin man is mono i was thinking if the lady was six..

so whatever crawled out wasnt six or at least not anymore. does that mean that mano could possibly find the real six in the tower with him

So the thin man was mono from the future and the small one is his past.
