I Like how you judge a cube by what it is, for example you don't compare a budget 4x4 to a top line moyu. You judge the cube as what it is and who it is suitable for. Good, honest opinions. You are right, budget cubes should be judged on out of the box use as newer cubers won't be setting them up. Another great video, fun and informative.
That solve at the end: FINALLY a solve that I could somewhat follow in realtime! 😄
The small 6x6 would be perfect for mosaics

I actually like both DNA cubes. A little lube goes a long way with these. I have an extra set of magnets and I'm highly tempted to magnetize one of them.
Never understood why they were called “Little Magic”. It always would make me think about a 4 year old perfectly reciting edge parity algorithms for the Square-1.

Just a dare... to rely on corner cutting on the Fangshi mini 6x6 (when using as a 3x3) 😁
So I just got the 4x4 little magic m in the mail yesterday. It's very dry and sandy out of the box with tight tension. After setting up the little magic m it's better but the problem is that it's SLOW. It feels like I have to really put strong strength into the finger tricks. When adding lube it works good for little. Then after a while the lube seams to do a negative affect. And it goes away or drys up quickly. (Other 4x4s I have don't have this problem, idk why this happens) if I wipe the lube out it gets faster right away. Even just dnm-37 makes it sluggish after a while. As for the magnets, the magnets are not strong enough to notice in outer layers. If loosened it allot and it still isn't fast enough where I like it. I expect more for this cube. I'm going to try the 4x4 yj m next ..I just didn't want to spend 40$on a4x4 I was really hoping to get a decent 4x4 for under 15...
@datboi0669

You can get the mgc 4x4 for 20 dollars, the only problems I have with out is that’s it’s look out of the box and there’s also some lube in the outside of the cube but u can just wipe it off with your fingers
I have the little magic 4x4 and it is super good after you set it up
I have the yuxin little magic 4×4 and I bought it for 17 dollars in singapore 🇸🇬, and its actually very good for a beginner 4×4 with magnets, thx for the review by the way😀.

Great video as always. Nice info. Do you have any idea about the release date of the coated cubes (PVC)
hey jperm, I started cubing back in June and I've gotten down to 14 seconds on the 3x3 and I average around 19 seconds. I want to learn the 4x4 but I'm not sure if I should just stick to the 3x3 and try to get faster or do both the 3x3 and 4x4. I'm going to my first comp in November and it would be cool if I could do more than just the 3x3 lol. If I do buy a 4x4 should I get a nice magnet one or just a simple budget one?

I honestly think that concave cubes or something like it could be the next big thing. Like how all megaminxes now have stuff on them to improve grip. There's already cubes with different kinds of plastic to improve grip, and a couple with ridges like the ones on megaminxes. And so why not do the same with 3x3 cubes? Add ridges, or make them concave. The more grip, the better.
So I was literally thinking about when will JPerm make a video where he is unboxing or reviewing a budget 7x7 cube. And boom he uploads one featuring a budget 7x7. Dylan you legend
1:13 same here buddy. Same here. The super flip didn't work

Hi J Perm, big fan of your vids (you are my favourite KZreadr😁😁😁), I plan on buying the cosmic aosu GTS2M 4 by 4 but I am not sure if I should just let speedcubeshop do the lube or if I should request on what lube they put in the cube, what do you think I should do? If I should request what lube to put in the cube, what combinations of lube do you think are good? Thanks

Well Non-Magnetic(2019) or Magnetic(2020)? Well the newer/Magnetic one was better
What if the future of cubes will pillowed on the corners but concaving on the edges/centres?
Basically how many cubes do you have with you
man wish the little magic m 7x7 was available a couple of months ago (or at least aware of it) getting into 7x7 and i got the spark off the bat
Any new things coming to your site? Also great video btw.
I like how when he used the 6x6 as a 3x3 and his solve time was still better than mine on the QiYi Warrior S, my best time is on that cube and it is 1:15 (it’s also the only one I have atm)
I couldn't stop laughing after 8:32 😂 and that music stopped.
Lol the last part was really funny
I am a beginner and I get 4 Meilong Cubes from my parents 2x2 3x3 4x4 5x5 and they are all not bad

Every single cheap cube that I want to buy I watch your budget cube unboxes
thanks you are great
With 4x4, the main reason you would want magnets is to make it easier to reassemble, if you plan on cleaning it out, or wiping out factory lube.
