I have watched MANY others as well, and keep coming back to yours and will be following your tutorial after the holidays are over. OMG! Talk about a blast from the past! I remember having read Keiko as a child in 1966...it was only library book that was ever overdue and I got in trouble because it had gotten made up in my doll bed and had to pay a whole 10 cents overdue fine...which was a lot of money back then lol! Also I had that set of Disney books that were on that advert as a gift (never owned many books of my own as a kid) and I read them to pieces and cut out some of the pictures for school projects and collages in Jr high. Acutally found replacements for the butchered books when my kids were little!

I love all of them! I can't choose a favorite 😀

I found an awesome larger golden book today at my antique store that is Eloise Wilkins. I think it's called a Giant golden book or something like that. It's the same dimensions as a golden book but just thicker. Woohoo! I'm so excited to dive into that one! Thanks so much for letting me know you got it and like it! Don't know if you will see this or not Gayle since it is on an older video, but I found my comment about Lady and the Tramp (I have no memory of that) and I see you even commented that you would keep your eye out for one. You are just way too generous. I came back to this video to look through your page selections and how many you put into each signature. I have got my cover together and am picking out papers to put in it. Lordy, I could never make any money selling these as it takes me a month to make a decision. I know they're all sold but my fav was the Raggedy Ann & Andy then the Ginghams tied with Hansel and Gretel. I have been on the hunt for the little golden books to make one. I know the craze was a year ago but I'm determined. I have a few books now.

What wonderful journals! I love them all, but I must say the Raggety Ann and Andy one is my fave because you found the fabric that truly coordinated the best with the names on it for the spine and fabric collage. I have never made a fabric collage or belly band so those are great ideas I picked up. Can you pleaseshare the name of the printable shops with me. Mariah H the Little Golden Books are generally $55 to $65 depending on how embellished they are and how many vintage items are included. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for watching! I didn't use a sealant. I kind of figured since they'd made it in good shape for over 40 years (the 70's ones), that they'd be okay as is. The new owners could certainly seal them if they want. 😄❤️

I’ve found quite a few at antique malls and they range anywhere from $3.00-$6.00 and even higher for the ones that are Copywrite in the 50’s that aren’t reprinted later on. I’m in Texas by the way. I love your little books. They are adorable!

Jana, sometimes I’m able to get them at the thrift store for 69 cents. But usually they are $2 or $3. I try not to spend more than $5, but will for a rare book. 😁❤️

Hi Rose! I haven't experienced any problems. There are many Etsy sellers re-selling the Little Golden Books. I figure I'm not much different. I've just altered them. I do give credit with the copyright date and certainly acknowledge the wonderful illustrations of Eloise Wilkins. I'm definitely not claiming the little golden books as my own work. Rose Anthony As long as you do not reproduce them and try to sell them you are ok. You can scan a whole book for personal use...but again not to sell if book is out of print. (We did this back when we homeschooled) Many old books the copyright has expired on and hasnt been renewed as well..but that is gray area!

Delia, usually 10 to 15, which would be 20 to 30 or 40 to 60 front and back.

I'm not clear on why you had to fold the original pages. Maybe I need to watch more videos. Love your products!

How do you make an envelope

Oopd -- Guess I was watching the July video with the paper doll book-- commented on the wrong video

redpearl40 no such thing as a dumb question! These journals can be written in as with any journal. The decorative papers provide a background for pictures, collage, or gluing in memorabilia. Some people use these,journals as baby books or a child's first journal, since the story is included. And some of us, who just have never out grown Little Golden books, use them ourselves. Check out the YT channel - Johanna Clough - she has some videos where she uses this type of journal. Hope this helps! TFW! ❤️
