    @dodo1 Hi, You should try taking up the free courses available online like on KZread (of MIT opencourseware and other reputed channels) You can also watch many channels which post tricky Olympiad level problems. Solving them will improve your skill. Practice is the best way to improve in maths afterall. As for books you don't need much. A lot of books are available online as PDFs (piracy though). Just clear out your basics, and solve questions. There are a lot of courses and resources available. If you'd tell me what exactly do you need help in, i can tell you some good free courses maybe

  • @WardayYT

    @WardayYT

    @dodo1 I recommend using KZread to your advantage. Whether that means searching mathematical concepts and watching videos to learn new ideas or using them to solve example problems. If you cannot get good math books, then KZread might be your best source for acquiring beneficial explanations and having surrogate teachers/professors. However, if you feel like you want complete independent study then there are online resources such as engineering toolbox and other online math notes websites such as paul's online math notes that you can self paced learn new concepts. Hope that helps!

    I was literally the worst in my class in algebra and geometry. I couldn't even add fractions. But during the summer of 8th through 9th grade, I studied math hard at Khan Academy, and I fell in love with the science. Got to vectors, matrices, series. And when I came to 9th grade with this knowledge and decided to tell our math teacher about it, she just said, "Okay." Good luck with that. Now I'm studying philosophy. P.s. It was because of this occasion that I made my "School - Little Dark Age" video :)

    Mathematicians are some of the most unique individuals God ever created. Those who look beyond all to create something truly new. Who look for the patterns of creation and then have the genius audacity to write it down for all to learn.

    I can't tell how much beautiful maths is for me, it was with me when i had sucidal thoughts, it made me keep going, i made many functions like Hyperion, Pie function, hyper integrals etc.. i even made a theorm in complex analysis called the Complex Direction theorm that tells us how movement works in the complex plane and why taking any zig zag path is equivalent to a straight trajectory between any two points independent of path under some conditions.. it can explain why cuachy reimann equation's limit can be broken down and why considering only four directions is enough instead of infinitly many paths.. im young, like gonna be 18.. soon(not so much).. well, maths taught me that you have to follow quite a complex path for a beautiful solution development ❤️ Thanks.. im mostly called weird because of my interests and how i talk etc.. i don't know.. but these videos are so good to help me keep going ❤️❤️❤️

    Theres so many comments saying that learning math from school is worse than learning math by the books, but it hurts to say that learning everything from school is worse than learning from books (with the exception of most of primary school). Im schools, you are restricted from exploring and understanding because of all the work you are being given. You also have to make sure you pay full attention and quickly write what is on the board or on your paper, otherwise you get lost and it leaves you confused, which is aggravating when it comes to people who aren’t able to always pay attention, like me, I constantly get lost in my thoughts. And then you have to do homework in order to study. And by the time we do all this we are tired. And once the semester or school year is over we dump all of our homework in the trash and then forget it after not even 2 months. All that for nothing. That is what makes us lazy and hate learning. Now lets look at books. From books, you can explore deep into subjects and learn 10 folds of what they teach you at school. You get to learn at your own pace and you can always look back at the book or the notes from the book if you ever get confused, you get to reflect for as long as you want. Also taking notes on anything from the book is more effective than doing boring work or copying whats on the board, since not only does writing notes that we understand make it easier to remember, we can always go back on them. Schools, especially my school, forget how important books are. I only get 30 minutes during my lunch time to go to the school library, since the only time people can go is during second lunch or to do work in the library. Do they not understand that the words on books last eternity while the words from people will be forgotten once they stop speaking unless somebody quoted their words? You can always look back on a book but you can’t go back to a time when someone is speaking to you. Once I realized all these things, I have never wanted to stop learning subjects from books, it’s almost like learning is my hobby. I learned C#, now i’m picking up on mathematics, especially calculus and physics. All you need are books, notes and exploration, and then you will learn from heart, not from the back of your head.

    Basically, by the time that we gain the ability to learn, school is entirely irrelevant except for diplomas, and the true education comes from your local library.
