I'm surprised Phonte didn't try acting or comedy. That dude is hilarious in person. I know he loves movies. It just seems like something he would excel at aside from excelling in music.

Even with Foreign Exchange the dude is hilarious.
Would love one more Justus League mixtape with everybody on it, just to hear them all on the same project again.
Little Brother are/were the last super-hero rap group to bless planet earth. The beats, flow, rhyme skills and social awareness were/are ALL ON POINT....Salute to you.
I'm glad they did this interview I didn't care how they got back together but I did have some questions they both answered them, Little Brother got me back into hip hop again in 2004 and got me through some tough times following that year when they bowed out in 2010 they left a huge void their return at the end of this decade, filled it for me
I'm so glad they're back together!

Man I'm so excited Tampa Bay Show Please!!!!
Its a shame when more than one group and MCs say 9th is shady or just flat out negative.
Love this Group!, Always Appreciate Real Hiphop!
Little brother is one of my favorite groups..and I truly love that Tigallo ALWAYS keeps it real with shit! much love.
Dope
I like 9th's Jamla is the Squad projects, but I like his old production style better...so I'm glad Phonte and Pooh were honest with em
I'd dig a little brother "& friends" collab album feature with other artists like sky zoo. De LA soul. Anderson paak. Rapsody. Tribe called quest. Common. Yasin bey. Styles p. Pharoah monche. Black thought. Kendrick and Talib. All supported by various producers

@@randalllawkin yeah man I'd have them do it in Parts. Like port authority 1 & 2 with other artists. Part 2 could have Bun B, Big Kritt, Freddie Gibbs, erykah badu, Royce 5'9, smiff n wessun, Sean P (if he was still alive), Sir (from TDE), Nas, Joell ortiz, j Cole, conway, benny TB, Pusha T and BJ Chicago kid. A 2 part album series of shit like that would be dope. I'm thinking all bars and dope vocals. Phonte loves singing and rappin. That's good gumbo right there I think
Maaaaaaaan Premium Pete talking to much at the very beginning. Get to the Podcast.. SHEEESH!!
I hear a lot of bad stories about 9th wonder...

If 9th can’t do all the beats, why’s he gotta do all the shows? I’d like to hear the other side.

Jon S Phonte eventually was ok with 9th doing all the beats until he didn’t wanna do all the shows

Jamal Leseane i didn’t quite take it that way, but you may be right. Would be cool that even if 9th isn’t in the group, he can still produce for them like Khrysis and Nottz, though.

Jamal Leseane I don’t know about that. Phonte didn’t say it like that at all. I’d like to hear 9ths side of it too.

Souldrum86 yeah. And while Phonte was candid, I’m curious how he’d answer that question. As I understand it, LB wanted him in the group but not like it was on The Listening where 9th produced the whole thing(except one song) and arranged it, sequenced it, etc. They basically wanted to bring him back in the group full time and have him do some of the beats? Where 9th wanted to come in and do the whole album by himself production wise, while the other two just rapped and don’t worry about the other stuff? While doing just the big shows? That’s the picture painted, and if that’s 100% how it happened....it’s a shame on one level that they couldn’t work something out. On the other hand, the album is phenomenal as it is and 9th is doing great too, so everything is working out for everybody. Would be cool for nostalgia purposes to at least hear some 9th beats on their future projects though.
