Little Boats of Newfoundland - Roy Payne

Музыка

Roy Payne is an icon of Canadian Country music. He was born in Trout River, Newfoundland and was raised by his grandparents. He served 12 years in the Canadian army, and was a truck driver amongst other odd jobs before making music his full-time vocation. Over the years, drawing upon life experiences, Roy wrote close to 2000 songs for various country artists as well as himself. On June 7th, 2015 Roy did a concert at the Purple Hill Country Hall in Thorndale, Ontario at which time he announced this would most likely be his last performance citing a throat problem that makes singing quite difficult. He opened the show with this famous hit song.

Roy's music should be on the lips of every Canadian, let alone Newfoundland. His song "I wouldn't Take a Million Dollars For A single Maple Leaf" should be a Canadian Anthem. He still sounds pretty good despite his throat problem. I hope you never have to give up Roy....
