i actually drew out this routine, movement by movement, in my sketchbook and tried to perform it as a beginner (but beginner-intermediate in callisthenics) and I have an even more heightened respect for this video, after knowing how hard it is!!

Hi I really want a hoop in my bedroom but I am unsure of how to do so safely and correctly. I have no idea where I would find or purchase a hoop.

I love this as it shows what can be performed when you are rigged quite low. Do you know what height you're working at?

So, I just got my aerial hoop and can’t do as many tricks as I could on a taped one (my aerial hoop isn’t taped, the ones at my studio are) I can’t even hang in an invert for that long. What do you recommend?

I think that if you are a beginner/ intermediate, it is better to have taped hoop, the grip is better and it will help you to get more confident. Same if you want to do dynamic moves, tape is better to start with. I started with taped hoop too :)

It's 180kg if you use the point or 260kg if you don't, some hoop can take up to 300kg, always check it before you bu it :)

is there a coating or tape on your hoop? lovely :)

Don't worry, the hoop itself can take around 200kg :)

+Missy Rabbit :) I am not doing online tutorials as I think that it's really important to learn aerial with a qualified teacher. I am sure that there is a school not too far from you where you can learn :). Aerial disciplines can be dangerous and hard on the body, that's why you should learn with someone who can actually help you and correct your positions! Good luck with your training ;)

This studio was really low, I think 4m is the lowest to rig a hoop properly and be able to train on it.
