How does that Vstrom 650 do on that type of road? I’ve been thinking about getting one. But not sure it would work for me. I’m 6 ft tall and 285 lbs. but close to 60 years old and don’t want to have to handle a big bike anymore.

The V-Strom 650 is fine on gravel roads although the front suspension does not handle the choppy washboards very well. This moto is still a great compromise between pavement and slightly bad roads, and it's fun. I'm 5'9" 190 and it has carried me very well as my LD moto over the past 48,000 miles in 4 years. Now in my late 60's I enjoy its lighter weight over my 640 pound K1200RS.
